They're only going to knock down the price so much this year, since the second DLC only came out three months ago.

Do you mean that full price is for half game and double price for full game?
with discounts, full price for full game even if discounted?
Base game is shorter and the game world is smaller than something like Fallout 4, but the setting is cool and quests can change a fair bit based on your build and reputation. But that's why I said I'd decide about the DLC based on how you liked the base game.
If neither of you of have bought it already, you can get the Expansion Pass for $3 less on GMG (Steam's $19.99 vs. GMG's $16.79).
