Is there a real Woke SJW Agenda in here or just hearsay?

Some people would say that this is just another Horizon Zero Dawn with its "SJW" agenda with strong women and cuckold men

The thing is, when I played MY HZD, I didn't see any of that stuff. Seeing women ruling over camp didn't feel any different to seeing men being leaders of various settlements in other video games.

So it really just boils down to this - are people upset at this game because it's putting women in positions that are usually taken by men in other video games and it's making gamers really angry seeing something like that or is it just some hate towards women in general?

I know I played HZD just like I played any other game, I didn't even think like - oh my god look another "strong independant woman", I just looked at them like NPCs, nothing more


What's interesting is that the same people that complain about these "issues" never complained about them when they played their games that are 95% men and women only existed as either "dirt girls" or completely irrelevant NPCs

Beware of anyone who go around crying "SJW". It is usually a bunch of immature adults/teens who likes to do that.

This game is quite good (despite the absurd price). So i recommend buying it during a sales if you don't mind waiting for a bit.

Let's just say the writing is not even close to some of Obsidian's best works, like Fallout New Vegas or Pillars of Eternity. None of the interesting characters, locations, backstory, mystery etc. No Durance, Waidwen's Legacy, Cesar, Vault 11 etc.

The characters are cringey and uninteresting. One of the companion quests is literally helping your lesbian crew mate get a girlfriend. I am not making this ♥♥♥♥ up.

The game itself story wise is just one giant anti capitalistic ride that never takes itself seriously. The locations are boring and generic with nothing memorable.

So you understand why some people are referring to this as SJW crap. Just ignore the story, lore and characters as much as possible if you do play it. The combat and looting are mildly enjoyable. Not a great game.

If anyone uses the world SJW I just assume they're dumbasses, its a dark little comedy game where if someone kills themselves and youre close to that person, you pay for the persons death, its fun, but also, i dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about agendas, if games fun games fun, some people like it some dont, no need to have an agenda or be woke or whatever buzzword these lads screech.

HZD was a great game i just don't care if it's women or men leading the game. TW3 i like equally with a men at helm.

New Chess mini series about The Queens Gambit(Netflix) probably will also trigger men to cry like little girls because it's womens leadrole.

Anywaaaay. Chris Avellone hasn't worked with Obsidian since 2015. Obsidian without Chris Avellone is just a bunch of terrible programmers and a terrible CEO who has bankrupted himself repeatably.
I wouldn't be able to tell anyone if Outer Worlds is truly "woke" or not but it has all the stances of corporations bad men bad.
I would suggest that Obsidian's hack writer they got to replace Chris is merely mimicking him, mimicking SJW culture, in order to fill out the story. Wasteland 3 is pretty heavy on this as well, with every step of the story being the first mission of Wasteland 2, and dramatic over-the-top consequences for things you didn't actually do.

There are quite a few omnipotent characters in the game, and they are all females. To suggest there are no strong females here is a complete lie. Main character Doc Brown from Back to the Future is doubtful of himself and places all hope/action in the player character. He projects zero strength or self despite having a cool space station and all kinds of wacky technology.

Monolith, for example, has two competing faction leaders. Both leaders are male idiots, one listens to and respects his female subordinate, who is more knowledgeable than he is.
The other faction the male leader is literally a mass murderer and the female hero is the only source for a peaceful solution. The very first planet has a lady that does "bad" things I won't spoil for anyone, but they ultimately aren't even bad and the male antagonist is an idiot and actually bad in addition to rude.
Even the end villain(s) are this same exact pattern repeated, male is a moron, woman is a genius. The male is actually incredibly stupid and servile, and is mocked repeatably through the narrative.
I actually enjoyed the game and would recommend people play it, lul.

I'm only two hours in so far but I haven't seen anything that I'd describe as "woke". Every male and female character I've run into so far are broken human beings who embrace their identities as cogs in a corporate machine who act as their roles dictate.

If I had a criticism of it, I'd say they're so into their roles that they're almost genderless. I could easily see a male character saying the exact same thing any of the female characters say and vice versa, but that might just be the point of a corporate town.

That might change later though, so jury's still out.

Worst thing about this game is rather than change later it'll actually be over in like 30 minutes from where you are now, lmao. It makes sense though: if they had made the game any longer it would wear incredibly thin since its so shallow. Its definitely worth the 5$ most people paid for it on gamepass but the only reason it has such good reviews is people who aren't really experienced gamers reviewing it.
