Console Commands
Does anyone know how to enable console commands yet? There are a few files on Nexus, but they seem to be geared for the EGS. I was hoping to play with cheats since I already beat the game a year ago on PS4.

To simplify the process for those unfamiliar;

1) Download SunBeam's injector (it's a zip file) from here[fearlessrevolution.com].

2) Extract the zip file anywhere, preferably within the same drive as the game directory. Inside it you will find the IGCSInjector.exe.

3) Go to steamapps\common\TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Binaries\Win64 and rename the .exe file there to IndianaEpicGameStore-Win64-Shipping.exe.

4) If necessary, make sure that the appropriate directories are exempt from the scrutiny of your anti-virus.

5) Run the .exe you just renamed (which should open the game) then once you're at the main menu, switch to your desktop window [ALT+TAB] then run the IGCSInjector.exe and give it a moment.

6) You should now be able to access the in-game console commands using the Tilde key on your keyboard.

Just tried this, and renaming the exe prevents the game from running

Launch the game from the renamed exe rather than your Steam page. It's not the best solve, but it works. At some point soon, someone will put together a proper fix for this.

Also, good looking out KindredLadd.

The only reason I was looking for the Console was to bring my attributes up to Very High for this play through. Is there a way to permanently adjust these stats?

This. What good is the console if changes don't stick?

All of the other stuff carries over. Items, perk points, bits, ETC.
It's still annoying not to be able to permanently adjust attributes though.

got it working, thank you so much! <3 god mode is life for some disabled players like me!
Without seeing the source code, that executable name must be hardcoded. Anways, if any of you are looking for a simple launcher that injects the dll automatically, check this out:

Thanks. Here's hoping that a fix for the resetting stats comes along

If you took a few seconds [eye roll] to read the replies here or the forums for that linked guide you will see both methods are not working for Steam. However, someone pointed out a workaround that makes one of the methods work.

Okay. It's a bit backwards, but it works. I hope a better method comes along soon.

Next problem...
I used the code "RpgStatAddModifierDebug Strength_stat 2.5"
It brought my Strength attribute up from Average to Very High.
I made a new save then loaded the save, and the attribute reverted to average.

The only reason I was looking for the Console was to bring my attributes up to Very High for this play through. Is there a way to permanently adjust these stats?
Yes I found one, but it's complicated-ish. You have to know how to use CheatEngine Cosmo and iteratively search for hex memory addresses of variable, store them, then change them, all during the character creation process. This link will describe the process, and once you get the hang of it, it's relatively easy. Only thing I couldn't change were the Skills like he described, because I couldn't get it down to 1 location. The bonus to doing it this way is that it is permanent.

I tried this method (after learning that Int16 is the same as 2bytes) and it does work. I tried applying this method with a level 16 character using a combination of console commands and the cheat engine search. It didn't work though. I could find the "549-552" values but not the "0-4" values. So it didn't stick. Oh well. I guess I could always play again from the beginning. I'm not that far along anyway.

Thanks for the heads up Mac!
