1) Download SunBeam's injector (it's a zip file) from here[fearlessrevolution.com].
2) Extract the zip file anywhere, preferably within the same drive as the game directory. Inside it you will find the IGCSInjector.exe.
3) Go to steamapps\common\TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Binaries\Win64 and rename the .exe file there to IndianaEpicGameStore-Win64-Shipping.exe.
4) If necessary, make sure that the appropriate directories are exempt from the scrutiny of your anti-virus.
5) Run the .exe you just renamed (which should open the game) then once you're at the main menu, switch to your desktop window [ALT+TAB] then run the IGCSInjector.exe and give it a moment.
6) You should now be able to access the in-game console commands using the Tilde key on your keyboard.
Also, good looking out KindredLadd.
This. What good is the console if changes don't stick?
It's still annoying not to be able to permanently adjust attributes though.

Thanks. Here's hoping that a fix for the resetting stats comes along

Took a few seconds to search, google is your friend [eye roll]
Same mod as linked above? Up to you to check...
If you took a few seconds [eye roll] to read the replies here or the forums for that linked guide you will see both methods are not working for Steam. However, someone pointed out a workaround that makes one of the methods work.

If you act like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, expect to be treated the same.
I tried this method (after learning that Int16 is the same as 2bytes) and it does work. I tried applying this method with a level 16 character using a combination of console commands and the cheat engine search. It didn't work though. I could find the "549-552" values but not the "0-4" values. So it didn't stick. Oh well. I guess I could always play again from the beginning. I'm not that far along anyway.
Thanks for the heads up Mac!
