Gamebryo Engine?
Does this game run on the ancient gamebryo engine? Because it sure looks like it from the trailer... Not that that means it won't be a masterpiece like most other Obsidian games even if it does. It would just be disappointing is all

It would be really bizarre for this game to be running on Bethesda's engine when Bethesda is not involved in the project.

I'm just saying, if you look at the trailer it looks really similar to Fallout 4/76 graphics... and considering that they made Fallout NV, they might still have access/permission to use the gamebryo (creation engine). Just a thought.

I'm not sure where you are seeing the gamebryo characteristics anyways it seems like they have done what they can to emulate the sort of feeling that people got from new vegas

Its not gamebryo as I said, its UE4. Obsidian does not work for Bethesda, in fact they're now owned by Microsoft. They cannot legally use any assets or engines rightfully owned by Bethesda.

I guess that answers that

Also, don't worry too much about their Microsoft partnership, because MS has been really cool lately and is letting studios they acquire keep their own IP rights :-D

Graphics don't look great but they look good enough for me. Graphics are so low down the priority list personally

The Creation Engine is pretty much a beefed up version of the Gamebryo fork they used for Fallout 3.
