There is truly just 2 factions for the main story and 2 factions for a dlc that matters .
The best part of skyrim was it’s open world and choice in race , gender , and customization even though kinda lacking .
I played a lot of skyrim , but it is dated .
The one thing I hope that comes of Outer Workd is Bethesda waking the ♥♥♥♥ up .
I put around 5000 hrs into Fallout 4 , more than any MMORPG or RPG .
It’s story was meh because of rare to no twist and short main story.
But the grandness of 4 was you could max out everything and the world was very open .
76 is a cash grab , I knew it was going to be , can’t say I blame them but I wish they didn’t .
As we speak TESVI is getting the finishing touches , my guess it will be out holidays 2020 .
I hope , Outer World wakes Bethesda the ♥♥♥♥ up .
Do I enjoy OuterWorld ? It’s ok , a filler , but it’s not a main course .
I only wish Bethesda bought Obsidian rather than MS .
Maybe Josh Sawyer and Chris Avellone should jump ship , well Chris already moves on , and join Bethesda who’s greatest lacking flaw outside of fixing bugs is story .
Lol read my posts about why I recommended Witcher 3, read the two private plebs right afterwards, and tell me again who contributed nothing to the discussion.
“D list mmo fare” and “pretty terrible”. Such measured, grand insight lol
You realize it took Bethesda until fallout 76 to notice their decade plus game engine was too old for modern games.. Don't expect anything groundbreaking. They are masters at retreading a dead horse....
Outer worlds use Unreal 4 a decade old game engine .
Bethesda isn’t the first , nor is it the last to use game engines for decades .
Fallout 76 is more detailed than Outer Worlds , the world is open , third person is a option , none stuck trash items are in the game .
But let’s look past that .
76 is yes a cash grab without a doubt . The engine is old , yeah sure , it still looks better than a lot of games .
Game Engines are costly to make , even Rockstar reuses theirs and it’s a decade old .
This attack on old engines only seems to matter with Bethesda .
Bethesda yes doesn’t fix bugs or if they do it’s not all of them .
Open world games with look trash you can drop and place anywhere is always going to cause issues .
The unreal engine is well beyond 4, I don't remember the exact number.
Game companies update their game engine between games, GTA5 runs much better than GTA4.. You can tell difference if you've played both games... On the other hand Bethesda used the same engine since Morrowind (maybe sooner) and didn't start to modify it until fallout 3-4 .. The exact same bugs were carried over between games and you can look it up... Bethesda used the same engine for 20 years... They only started ripping out morrowind code in fallout 4 and it continued when they worked on fallout 76...

Most modern engines are modular. If there are advancements in rendering technology it's straight forward to upgrade. The only reason you would need a new engine from the ground up is to take advantage of new CPU architecture, which hasn't happened since the move from x86 to x64. Or if the engine wasn't modular or multi-threaded to begin with.
Most games look the way they do on purpose because they want to cast a wide net on systems their game runs well on. When it comes to consoles they go for the lowest common denominator.
Always struck me that a spa in the martian sunset would be nice.
Show me your post history, rarrrr!
Outer Worlds uses Unreal 4
Unreal 4 came out in 2005
Creation engine came out in 2011
This reminds me of another threat where someone thought outer worlds is using creation engine ........... just because they look alike or some fanboy youtuber believes it doesn’t make it true
