Why is nobody talking about...
How Ridiculously fast weapons break... Not that it is hard to keep them repaired, but holy moly every friggin' 5 minuts, every 2-3 enemy packs. On supernova this became such a hassle as it has a modifier to even break them faster.

What in the world is the purpose for this... With the millions of weapons laying around to break down, its not really a challange to keep em repaired. and if you dont like looting you can even pay for repairs.

IF I ever do another playtrough, its going to be a 100% passive build!

EDIT: I tried weapons with fast fire rate just as a joke to see how fast they would break... a joke it defo was! this is with the perk to slow down decay, and my dex is not negative incase you are wondering.

I've been playing on super Nova and si far haven't had a weapon go below 80%, and j barely pay attention to my weapons. Repair them once every 3 or so times I return to my ship

I guess I have a bug then. every shot litteraly takes 1% of the weapons condition. at 60% condition the weapon dmg degraded so hard that I have to repair it.

You are right, I barely use my assault rifle because I have a leadership build and I feel like I'm constantly repairing when most of the time I don't even fire my gun.

pfew thought it was just me then. I have a sniper build going atm. even on this slow high dmg weapon its very very noticable and annoying how fast it breaks.

One of your stat increase/decrease degradation, you also have an attribute that decrease degradation by 25%.

Since on supernova we may lose stats because of certain debuffs you may have one of the +10% degradation, it's not really an issue tho since repairing is not that hard: just scrap melee weapons.

It is more tedious than anything, it adds nothing to the game. Given how cheap it is, it feels like a timesink, nothing more. Given how short each expedition is and how easy it is to stumble across a repair bench, it just feels like a chore you have to remember to complete.

Weapon durability requires at least one of two things to make it worth including. Scarcity/cost associated with repairs, and long enough expeditions (dungeons) without easy access to repair to prompt a need for a backup weapon. This game has neither. It is a mechanic added to check off a box that they have it. Kind of like the equipment mod system with hardly any variety of mods.
