I actually got a 240GB SSD for OS to replace my old 64GB cause I ran into the same issue with stuff like that
This link has guides to how to do both:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-install-apps-separate-drive-windows-10
The link from Ciphernull explains how to move an app after it's installed so I guess I'll have to do that.
I really want to check this game out and at only $1.00 it's just too good a deal. There's also a few other games there I'd like to try, but manually moving them every time is kind of ridicules
Download the Xbox App[www.xbox.com], sign in, click on your profile image and click settings.
The option to change to download/install drive is on the first page.

If anyone can tell me where to look for those files taking up space on my C drive, I'd really appreciate it, so I can delete them and free up that space.
I can't even figure out where the games files are on my D drive (after moving them there), as there is no folder labeled in a way that makes it obvious. More than 12 years on steam and never a bs problem like this.
"A easy to fix this is to goto system- then storage- and under the storage tab find " change where new content is saved" then select "new apps will save to" and select your preferred storage drive.
Then uninstall your xbox (beta) app, and reinstall it, now when you goto install a new game on the pc game pass it will give you the option to select what drive you want to install it on.
This issue happens because by default windows needs to recognize that your pc has the folder called windows app on that drive and that it has been setup by a windows app installer atleast once, for the xbox (beta) app to recognize the new (useable) install location for your games and apps"
you can also change it back to default after you install the xbox app to your storage drive that you want your games on. when you download a game pass game if selected to install to the other drive, it will indeed now install to that drive
