Wearing Marauder Armor in Edgewater

When you first talk to the Inhumer guy on the bridge leading into Edgewater he insinuates that townsfolk will not like it if you look like a Marauder. Does it really matter? Does it change dialogue choices?

It doesnt matter. Once you leave Edgewater you'll get a Factional disguise mechanic introduced. But it doesn't rely on armor worn, and they even make a joke about how it would take much more than wearing someone's armor to fool someone.
