25 hours is too short
Not going open world was a huge mistake... now all you get are a handful of tiny maps comparable to borderlands 3 and it has worse combat... if the game feels long it's because you are a packrat picking up every garbage and that's pretty much the core game.

With my playstyle of poking around in every corner, taking my time and playing on the highest difficulty it will be closer to the max of 40. All replays and ironman challenges not included.

Completionist run only 40h? This game is going to need 10 expansions. Maybe they went the Paradox route...

We'll see how long it is. This is based on estimates of a streamers and youtubers who clearly like to rush games. Your mileage may vary.

For me 40+ on a single playthrough is good. I'm planning to do at least 3 with different builds and playstyles. Probably some more over the years when I don't have anything new to play.

Look up more reviews, completionists are looking at around 60 hours, around 35 if not, and for speedrunners 15.

Borderlands is a looter shooter, this is a RPG.

Are you telling me the combat is crap and there is no open world. lol no buy

25 hours + second playthrough of 20 hours = 45 hours actually. With so many choices and multiple endings its meant to be played atleast twice.

60 just pushing it..

rushing is somewhere around 20 give or take...

ill say 45ish if you do everything.. collect stuff and goof off and play harder diffuict..

60 only if you max it out on the hard mode and just goof off a ton. lol

People here ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the game is short and its not open world. Obviously people don't research ♥♥♥♥. Obsidian said from the begining this wasn't going to be a huge game or open world. They wanted to tell a story in a tight RPG.

Perfect game for a $1 rental. XD

Enough with the open world nonsense. Not everything needs to be open worlds. My gaming time is very limited and I actually want to finish as many games as possible. A 25-hour experience sounds great.

ill take hand crafted worlds any day over bog standard open world with nothing in them, and icons that flood the map to turn the game into a slog.

I need more bang for my buck than ~20 hours in an RPG...

Not that I'm going to buy this anyway after the Epic crap.

Length does not equal quality. I'll wait to see how it plays rather than judging it by how long I'll get to play it, or how long I can walk in a straight line before hitting a wall.

There are plenty of good RPGs and RPG-likes that aren't open world- Divinity 2, both KOTOR games, Vampire, Darkest Dungeon, Deus Ex, Tyranny and more. There are also plenty of crappy open-world games out there. The number of loading screens a game has is no indicator of how good it is.
