Mod your game if you actually bought your copy, you actually keep it that way, NO DRM that way, & shockingly can mod Supernova in a few very helpful ways.
https://www.nexusmods.com/theouterworlds/mods/8?tab=files Found it.
The bed situation is extra dumb. On all of the lower difficulties, there's no reason to sleep in a bed. But on Supernova there is a reason (clearing concussion, for example) and yet you cannot.
After the screw-up of survival mode in Fallout 4 (it's really only serviceable with Survival Options mod) you would think a company would learn from someone else's mistake. The whole idea of only being able to save on your ship - dumb. Only sleeping on your ship - dumb.
I really hope they tweak some of this in an update.
My suggestion is, if you're really intent on playing Supernova, use the Cheat Engine and Cheat Tables to enable sleeping on beds.
Haven't played in a while now though so may not remember rightly.
You are right. Thank you.
