Here's an honest review for both men and women
If you're a men that hates SJW games, anti-women, anti-feminist, only playing the game to stare at ♥♥♥♥♥♥s, have the women dress half nude so you can imagine them naked or jack off, and only care about the female character's appearances of the game and have shallow expectations of women because your view of women is distorted because of porn, games made for male audiences, etc : DON'T BUY THE GAME.

If you're a men that doesn't care for labeling, doesn't care about the female physical appearances, doesn't care about the SJW movement, open minded, doesn't care that most of the females in this game looks, "ugly, or some call shemale", and doesn't distract you from the amazing story and side quests then: BUY THE GAME.

If you're a female that's anti SJW, anti-feminist, only playing the game just to stare at the characters and ignoring the main quest, etc etc: DON'T BUY THE GAME.

If you're a female that's not anti-feminist, doesn't care for SJW labeling or whatever, likes a good story, doesn't care about the "ugly, shemale" female character faces, and loves a good story and side stories and wants to get to know your companions more: BUY THE GAME.

I'm going to be expecting a lot of "men" that's been saying this is SJW trash, bashing on the female character creation because the females aren't "pretty" enough to start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on this thread.

Either way, these are what i've gathered from other discussions and forums and there are these 4 sides. However, women don't really voice their concerns, so far it's only either judgmental or non-judgmental men i've seen posting in different forums and discussions.

You're welcome, I bluntly said it. Saved you the time.

sorry I didn't get the impression they were ugly until I read this
but ok
yeah yeah politics whatever

hmmm actually
on second look
they could use more diverse hairstyles and maybe more robust feature sculpting
but I think that's hardly a sex specific issue now that I'm looking into the game
maybe this game isn't for me, not because of your political glasses, but now that I see how limited and kinda janky the customization is compared with other contemporary games...

If you are of any gender and reponsible with your financial choice, then dont buy the game.
Play it for 1 bux on gamepass. Downside is you cant install some QoL mods on the nexus, but the game is playable enough without them.

If you want mind blowing C&C, dont play it
If you want smart game and quest design in general, dont play it
If you want immersive itemisation, dont play it
If you want dynamic and deep combat, dont play it
If you want more than 30 hr each playthrough, dont play it
If you want open world, dont play it
If you want deep and multifaceted characters writing, dont play it
If you want a good main plot, dont play it
If you want a serious, well crafted setting you can invest time into knowing, dont play it

If you want to play it because you are starved for this type of game then yes, play it. But dont praise it like the 2nd coming of Chris ( Avellone cuz nobody in nu-Obsidian is remotely close to his level). Or if you want to play a mediocre, safe game set in a joke setting to show how "open minded" you are then yeah, play it.

They aren't ugly, they are fully clothed, frequently older than 20 and scaled like a human being.

They also frequently have their hair up. Top bun, braids... and may have a scar or scars and, gasp, dirt and or wrinkles.

So if you wanted blow up dolls or for "average" people to be super models, then sure "ugly".

The customization tool is pretty standard, several base options and the sliders to adjust many facial dimensions. Eye size, spacing nose protrusion height, an array of skin tones and complexion options, makup, scars, dirt, freckles...

I don't recall spending much time on body so I'd have to roll another char to comment on that.

It's not city of villains but it's at least as good as F4.

Yeah, I don't get all these people complaining about the women. I like the way most of the women look. I think Parvati is adorable, Ellie is tough and sexy, and I sadly failed to pick up Nyoka, so I'll have to do that next playthrough, but she looks fine.

They look like people, not supermodels and not like the tired-faced mannequins Bioware tried to sell us in 'ME Andromeda'. Indeed, most of the women in this game look a lot better than the intentionally ugly Andromeda cast, so I don't see this as a problem, at all.

Speaking of Andromeda, by the way, this game handles the idea of inclusivity with a lot more maturity and realistic, natural, writing than that game ever did. If you want a good example of people making all the wrong 'woke' decisions, that's a much better place to start. Vent your rage in the Bioware forums and stop turning these boards into such a toxic mess.

I didn't like it for combat - seems too shallow. I didn't like it for weapon arts - seems too cartooney (borderlands like). I didn't like it for wackyness - seems too much (Fallout 2 had just enough, OW have too much of it, IMO)

I liked it for original followers - thank god companion want help to bed someone else than protagonist. I liked it for moral ambiguity - finally the worlds is not black&white. I liked it for great views from cockpit and windows of spaceship - felt really immersive.

In general, I didn't like it.
and then you woke up from your dream and noticed that the real world doesnt work like that unicorn world ;)

"Here is a review for any snowflakes like me." FIFY.

Many games have women and sexuality; Agenda, if any, is implicit. The difference here is that it's explicit. Even the men look like crap. Look at Felix, he's basically Doug Funny with that insane nose.

*facepalm*
Because people that are on those forums are like 80% men.
Nice research, we see how you laid your evidence to suit your agenda.

TOW has more wackiness than Fallout 2?
Now that is beyond absurd.

That is IMO of course. But Fallout 2 wackiness came through maxed INT, CHR or other attributes, and then through hidden encounters, beating game and talking to random NPCs, and so on. in TOW however, wackiness is served unbridled and free.
