Possible to play this without internet?

Bought on the microsoft store and switching ISP's in a few days so will be without internet for about 4-5 days while they come set stuff up. I tried switching my internet off just to see and it doesn't keep my save file (says its on the cloud). Is there no way to download the save from the cloud so I can play offline?

If you bought it from the store, and aren't playing on the xbox gamepass thing, you can play it without internet.

The game only does cloud saves if you're signed in to your Xbox account when playing. I play the game without signing in (I don't even have an xbox account) and all my saves are on my computer. The game does annoyingly ask me to log in to xbox every time but you can just close the window and play normally.

Anyway long story short, I just disconnected my internet to test it for you and had no problem at all playing and loading my saves. You may have to start a new game without connecting to Xbox to save normally. Or you might try loading normally, and while in game disconnect your internet, then do a manual save of your current game. Then never sign into your xbox account while playing so it doesn't try to 'cloud' you again.

No idea if that would work but might be worth a try.
