For the first few hours this was good, but this got boring really quickly. It feels like the game was well put together, but they just assumed that because New Vegas was a success, this would be as well, but there was no where near as much thought put into the story, characters, weapons, companions and quests/ side quests. Most side quests or even main story missions would send you to a location where 9 times out of 10 you just have to walk across the map, talk to a character and then report back. They are worse than fetch quests as they are usually just moving from one safe area to another, doing nothing but having pointless conversations that do nothing to the outcome of the quest are only relevant to that one mission. This means that most quests have no enemies to kill because most quests don't even have combat, but the ones that do usually encourage the player to talk themselves out of it.

I stopped playing after the game forced a side quest into my inventory where I have to take one of the companions to meet the engineer of a planet, the quest then went on for another half an hour, turning into a romantic drama between two characters I don't care about. The gameplay of the mission is talking to your companion, walking to the opposite side of the map, talking to an engineer, walk back to the other side of the map to talk to your companion, walk to a bar and have a 10 minute conversation with your companion, walk back to your ship and talk to your companion again, and the mission ends.

I would recommend the game if it focused more on the shooting instead of pointless, endless pacifist side quests. The gameplay is really good when you actually get into a gun fight, but the game hardly ever forces you into one, so if the missions were better made I would recommend this, but because I couldn't finish it, 3/10. Not worth £25.

The DLCs that came with this game now make it feel much more complete and fleshed-out. It got a bad wrap for not being "New Vegas 2," but it's super fun and the writing is still solid. Sadly overlooked/underrated imo.

You play game and prepare for performance issues because your PC is old
You are surprised by how good it runs after some settings tweaks
You spend over 4 hours playing the game because the story, combat, and overall gameplay is amazing
You log off to take a break and realize that this game is amazing.
