this should go towards every online shooter, cheaters are the lowest of the low in society. why cheat at a game that you literally dont win anything by doing so. why dont you practice at getting better at said game and grow up/out of being a child. nobody likes a cheater

Could you PLEASE fix the mortar itself?

Here is my recommendations:

  1. Increase mortar damage up to 25 meters and kill instantly if hit 15 meters radius LOS, kill 7 meter radius like C4 through any cover. Now you have a SERIOUS THREAT and PURPOSE of a mortar with its limited ammunition!
    Now the mortar shells are a fart in a proximity. (Same is with red zone, those should be at least 50 meters damage, instant kill 25 meters, 10 meters kill regardless of cover. GET OUT FROM RED ZONE!)
  2. Keep the current ammunition amount, if you want to keep above. But do better and make a mortar have 10-12 rounds so you have reason to actually pick one.
  3. Do not give a shooter any information about the range or azimuth! To shoot solo, you should be really limited to shoot it totally blind, and it should be duo-weapon. Now you can have ping on target for azimuth and then read map for range very accurately to 10-15 meters precision quickly (more if you spend few seconds more) as you count 100x100 meter squares on map, you get something like 5 full squares between you and enemy and it is 500 meters. Then you look for your square and enemy square with 1/4 of the accuracy, so you work with +/- 15 meters quickly. With small practice, you can drop the shell on target with 5-10 meters precision. That is unfair for solo games, and too powerful anyways, should be eliminated that it is for co-operation only.
  4. You have tactical binoculars in the game. Use that to give the mortar operator the exact information to adjust the angle and azimuth. So when a binoculars user will designate a target by holding a button down (incapable to do anything else), then the mortar operator will get a elevation and azimuth information where to adjust the mortar and shoot to hit that point, relative to the position of the spotter and shooter. Meaning, if shooter and spotter are 50 meters apart and 30 meters in distance to target, then the mortar will hit relative to that same between them, so 50 meters and 30 meters off- from the target. This means that spotter needs to be as close as possible to the mortar shooter to give accurate target designation. Be it a lines or dot somewhere that shooter needs to align with the own mortar controls and it will be right there.
  5. Do NOT LIMIT the mortar placement placement. Allow it to be placed where ever the shooter wants. This is important, as the mortar should never be shooting at specific range and azimuth by default unless it is exactly on level, as it should be relative to the ground it is placed. This makes it sure that there is slight cant to different directions and player can't just shoot the mortar accurately without wasting lot of shells for narrowing down hits, watching the impact and correcting for it.
  6. Remove the mortar trajectory tracer effect, it should be invisible and only heard by the firing sound and then from impacts. The firing sound should be very muffled and very inaccurate and not for long range. So at distant (300+ meters) you might notice a distant firing.
  7. Every time the player leaves the mortar, it is reset to slightly random direction, so one can't alone shoot from cover, get out to observe impacts and return to mortar.

Doing this, you create a co-op weapon that is extremely effective when properly used.
It requires a teamwork to be devastating, where other needs to have a tactical binoculars, and other the mortar. For that high demand of teamwork, high effectiveness and deadliness should be awarded.
It requires to team stay close together to be accurate, and it requires two players to concentrate to their mortar play and get unnoticed about other stuff working around them. In duo this can be very vulnerable situation, deadly even, and in team modes it makes team very vulnerable for attack as two are limited for moment.

In well organized and trained team, mortar can be make-it or break-it. One team could destroy one or two enemy teams very effectively with 6-7 mortars and force them to move and out of sight.

The game sold 15+ million copies and had at the best 630 000 or so players at online. That was 2017, so 7 years ago. Let's be generous and say that 500 000 of those players are still playing PUBG once a month. That means PUBG has banned their whole playerbase in first month...
