My Wishlist for PUBG Ranked

Overworld Balance
1) Shops for Gear and Vehicles. The devs seem reluctant to balance loot spawns properly—and fair enough, randomness is part of PUBG’s DNA. But why not let us trade useless junk for stuff we actually want? Running around for 6+ minutes looting only to end up with no scope or decent gun is frustrating. Shops could respect different playstyles and save time for those who don’t want to rely on RNG. Imagine collecting a pile of medkits and level 1 helmets, then swapping them for an AR or even a buggy. It’d add flexibility and make the game feel more dynamic.

2) Remove Weapon Spawn Restrictions Across Maps. PUBG has a ton of unique guns—DP-28, G36, K2, O12, VS, BZ, QBU, Win94, R45—but half of them are either locked to specific maps or barely show up in ranked. Let’s get more variety! If balance is a concern, tweak spawn rates or tie them to the shops from point 1. More shooting options mean more tactics, and that can only make things better.

3) Revamp Glider Spawns and Transport. Gliders are rare and underwhelming right now, but they could shine in team play—scouting, spotting enemies, or quick repositions. I suggest making them fixed at 4 per map, like on Rondo, with set spawn points. This would create hotspots where squads could fight for a tactical edge. It’s a shame drones got axed (they were awesome), but gliders could fill that gap. Plus, add fixed spawn spots for other vehicles: a solo motorcycle (devs teased this once then forgot), a buggy. Skins are cool, but gameplay matters more.

4) Rework the Airdrop System. I’m tired of airdrops landing on someone’s head purely by luck—it feels unfair. Worse, their value often doesn’t match the risk. You fight tooth and nail, and what do you get? A DBS in phase one when no one’s dropping their second weapon for it, or some gear you don’t even need. Here’s the fix:
Ultra-Random Drops: Make drops maximally random early game. From phase 1-3, let them land anywhere on the map—even outside the circle—forcing players to ditch their position for a shot at big loot. After phase 3, revert to the current “inside the zone” system. Contents stay random but always include one top-tier weapon (AWM, Groza, etc.) plus extras (meds, scopes) to justify the gamble. Not every squad will drive 6 km with blue chasing them, so it’s less of a 5-team pileup and more of a fair duel for those bold enough to go. Lose your spot, but gain an edge—pure PUBG chaos with a purpose.

Gunplay
1) Buff M16A4 and MK47 Mutant. These guns have been begging for love. My idea: add a rare attachment—call it a “receiver”—that switches them to full-auto. Recoil and spread would increase, but it’d be a player’s choice. Apex Legends has golden attachments that change weapon behavior, and it works great—PUBG could borrow that vibe. It’d breathe new life into these old reliables.

2) Buff Machine Guns and Add a New One. LMGs like DP-28 and M249 could stand out if you let us deploy bipods on low surfaces—windows, rocks, car hoods. It’d give them a unique role in holding positions. Better yet, bring in a new LMG, like the PKM from PUBG Mobile: slow fire rate, high damage, big spread, but with attachment support. Machine guns feel underused—let’s make them a tactical ace.

3) Buff Sniper Rifles. Sure, they can one-shot to the head or knock with a helmet, but that doesn’t make them super useful or practical. PUBG maps often have huge distances where you spot an enemy, but your sniper rifle feels like a dumb stick—good luck hitting anything. It’s easier to spam a DMR at 500+ meters. We’ve got high-magnification scopes like 8x and 15x, so why not give snipers a higher bullet velocity than DMRs? It’d make sniping smoother and give it a real role. Right now, leading shots is a mix of mind-reading your opponent’s moves and pure luck—especially when players are spamming Q/E leans and crouching like it’s a dance party. Landing a headshot at long range in PUBG’s jittery gameplay is a nightmare. Even in Apex Legends, where fights are mostly close-quarters, snipers feel impactful and purposeful. PUBG sniping deserves that kind of love.

4) Rebalance Shotguns. Shotguns need a rethink. Make their damage to body armor (except helmets) super low, but crank up the damage to limbs. No more Quake Champions-style humiliation where you accidentally drop your beer on the mouse and one-shot someone in the torso. This forces players to think: aim for the head, go for the legs, or risk a body shot that might not kill. Hitting heads or legs is harder than landing a random torso blast, so it’d reward skill. To balance this, tighten the pellet spread slightly for more precise aiming—give players a fair shot at pulling it off.
Special Buff for S12K: Make it either fully automatic like the O12 or boost its fire rate for single shots—right now, the delay between shots is painfully slow. Pair that with huge recoil and a wider spread compared to other shotguns. This turns it into a spam weapon, like the O12, but with pellets, offering a clear choice: precision shotguns for accuracy or an auto-fire beast for suppression.

Movement
1) Leaning While Prone. We’ve got vaulting assists that barely get used, but still no way to lean while lying down? Seriously? You’re behind a rock, but can’t peek out without crawling into the open like a sitting duck. Add this small tweak—it’d deepen positional play, especially in ranked where every shot counts.

ETC (Extra Thoughts)
1) Destructible Terrain and Buildings. I’d love to see destructible environments on all maps—imagine the variety it’d bring! Walls crumbling, houses collapsing—it’d shake up every fight and force new strategies. Picture this: the mortar, which is currently useless in ranked, would finally shine. Right now, you’re firing rare, precious shells half-blind, praying for a hit in a split-second decision. With destructible terrain, it’d become a game-changer for breaking enemy cover or flushing out campers. Make it happen, devs!

2) Bring Back the Rangefinder Binoculars. Speaking of utility, I miss the rangefinder binoculars. They were perfect for squads who want to plan ahead—spotting distances, coordinating snipes, or just getting a better read on the battlefield. Mortars and binoculars together could turn ranked into a tactical paradise. Why’d they ever remove them?

3) More Map Markers and Custom Notes. Let us place more markers on the map—at least for personal visibility—and add the ability to draw custom notes or symbols before startin game (also just for yourself). It’s tough keeping everything in your head, especially if you want to play smarter. Imagine this: I’ve marked a dozen spots where I heard shots and sketched my guesses about enemy positions. Now I can plan where to go if things go south. It’s a small tweak that’d make tactical prep so much deeper.

Final Thoughts: I genuinely love this game so much, but it kills me that the devs don’t want to change anything. No polls, no feedback—just skins and nonsense. PUBG could be a tactical paradise! I’m fine dealing with cheaters, bugs, and dated visuals—I can live with that. But please, I’m begging you, don’t just update normals; give ranked some love too! And honestly, focus on more gameplay updates. You nailed it recently with SMGs—they finally feel impactful. Let’s keep that momentum going and make the game better. Love you all!

"[...] randomness is part of PUBG’s DNA."

.. this, lads & gents IS the whole concept. >> end of story >> excluding individual preferences. period.

if it comes to mechanics> YES! till to this day one can't properly lean and simultaneously fire out of windows. shooting folks down below is resulting in window frames eating bullets - cuz one simply can't. this is giving a huge disadvantage, even as in the real world it is not.

more and new random blue zones> it's getting boring. by now everyone playing long enough has already memorized where to go for the finals.
