I dont have any issues with audio to be honest might be a headset issue.

It has been since release, really low quality and hard to hear at full volume and little to no environmental noise

there is something odd with the audio from time to time... i double checked my settings and found HRTF was on some how so i turned that off it helped but still get jacked situations from time to time

Go to sound settings> sound-systemcontrol> right click select speakers> properties> select advanced> and uncheck both points under Exlusive Mode

bet pubg has control over your sound settings in default, with this u can undo it

this helped me quite a bit but im still not really satisfied

Try to download SoundFX an Open source equalizer which helped me solve all of my pubg problems and makes the game much louder, and you can pair that with another program called Sound Lock where WackyJacky has tutorial on youtube that program limits the loud noises such as car sounds and environment sounds a little bit quieter, that way the footsteps stay the same but you can hear them better bcs the vehicle is not that loud

Must have weird sound specifications. One of the only reasons I've played so much of this is because the audio is spot on everytime unlike Tarkov.
