Pubg terrible fps.

1440p,260Hz monitor, 36gb ram, Gpu - 3070TI, Cpu- Ryzen 5 5600x. 150 - 280 fps until im fighting players, then fps goes to 70-100 and feels like im stuttering. Tried lower res/graphics, updated drivers ect.
any ideas anyone ?

I can share my settings..I have a Asus Strix GTX1080 and am getting about 122fps -100fps constant

Just weird how i have 300 fps on the plane, 200ish when no enemies are around and when they're close i drop to 100 and feel like im playing on 60Hz again, its unplayable in gunfights lol

Dude i'm playing in 1360p and have no lag when I find players, maybe is something else. It goes from 180 fps when in the sky and with players insight it gets to 122, to I guess is not optimization, there's something in your computer, maybe your internet?

I'm on windows 10 - on a 144htz monitor playing 3440x1440 getting 100-120 ish fps

Weird that your getting drops like that, turn off vsync in-game

yeah its really weird, somethings 100% not right lol really good fps until i encounter players. it must be something to do with windows or some other problem. thanks for the help anyways !

No it was set to normal, i just went into the task manager, and set pubg priority to high, let you know if it works.

same here, use to be very smoothly with no lag before server merge update. Since last update i got the same issue, playing with lag and high ping, even my ping went to like 20-30, it still lag when gunfight, it unplayable and thinking of giving up this game soon if after Dec update still having same issue.

First i also tot is the setting or system , but it not. When playing others game, GTA5, Battlefield , it run smoothly with no lag.

I think not about prioritised in Graphic settings. For me I never set anything, play smoothly before update. Now i try every method i can found on net, it still don't work. I can play GTA 5, Battlefield smoothly with no issue, only in PUBG , it lag even my ping is 20-30 during gunfight. am using i5 , 16g memory with GTX1650

No I mean the settings in Windows - Windows key - Settings - Game Mode (I set this on) also Top Right should say Graphic Settings - Browse to the games EXE and add - set to High Performance

Try this also ->

Go to -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64

Right click TslGame.exe and select Properties -> Compatability -> Change High DPI settings

Tick the box -> Override high DPI scaling behaviour - scaling performed by -> Application

Click Ok -> Apply

* I also turn OFF Steam overlay during my game in properties for PUBG as it also slow the game down.

* Don't use NVIDIA Experience -> Install latest Nvidia drivers -> advanced and only select the driver and PhysX and or Audio driver if you use your graphics card for Audio

I also use GPU Tweak 3 and have set my clock and power targets correctly along with fan settings.

I also use a SD for my hard drive not a Hybrid or HDD

Beyond that ... do a test - set PUBG's graphics settings all to LOW including a lower resolution and VSYNC off and the test your fps then if they are good slowly increase each setting.

try all this but still lag. Sometime i felt funny, been playing smoothly all this while but after last update, game get screw up. Cannot be out of sudden my system issue, as i been playing this without any issue even on default setting and never do anything on all my setting. I got no problem in play battlefield and GTA5 at all, no lag, smooth game play.
