Basically nothing. Unless you have many polymers and some schemes that will allow you to upgrade a [PROGRESSIVE] weapon (but you must be lucky finding it in the Hideout crate).

upgrade progressive weapons only acquired with Hideout Contraband Crates (about 1% chance of drop)

so until you have a progressive weapon? they just accumulate in your inventory.

It's garbage used to bleed off crates and dismantles. Essentially a way to make the transaction a gamble without having an outright "you lose" result. The only thing it's good for is for giving whales something to play with once they spend enough real money to get a progressive skin.

well, its a scam from devs to grab more money in my opinion, you have to be lucky enough (1%) to get a progressive weapon, to then spend the polymers to progress it... if this isnt money grabbing what is it?
