Regardless how much you pay connection issues appear, no exception.
First possible reason:
Your provider changed your routing because your old route can't be used anymore because of problems etc. There are other reasons why providers change routes.
Second possible reason:
PUBG changed some routes in terms of, redirected the traffic in order to protect the servers.
"Anti-DDos system".
Not very likely because those protection didn't increase the ping in the past.
Third possible reason:
PUBG changed the server you use.
In NA, from servers in the middle of NA to east cost.
You can test what servers you use by looking at the Ip once you joined a server but I bet, your provider changed your route.
Should I call my ISP provider and have them change settings? When I look at my ISP's modem connection settings, it states my connection is excellent with no packet loss.
Yes, you can ask them but I wouldn't expect something because in my case I only speak with third party call agents. They don't have access to anything and technical experts are rare, so they don't have time for customer service.
If your provider changed your routing, it has nothing to do with your device.
It's a setting on their end.
Just call them, maybe they tell you more than my provider.
I did a trace route to show you how many hops, routing data center I have to pass to reach my destination.

I don't know why, but many hops deactivated the ping feature but 10 hops are a lot so my provider has at least 5 of them, maybe more. I use fiber connection so my ping could be 12-15 but bad routing. Well, it isn't that bad but not perfect.
It would be helpful if we could see what server we play on but for some unknown reason PUBG removed the information about it.
I mostly understand changes they do but in this case, it makes troubleshooting complicated because not all players know how to ping servers.
When I run a speed test and pick servers on the east coast, it matches the ping I get now of 60 to 80. Central US servers give me 40 to 50 on average.
Right, good test!
