PUBG Not Launching: Video Driver Error and Main Menu Crash
I used to play PUBG without any issues, occasionally experiencing crashes during battles with error messages, but it wasn't frequent. Now, the game can't even load the main menu, displaying only a part of the image before crashing with a video driver error, despite my drivers being up to date. Previously, I had a similar issue where the game would only show the map before crashing with an error. What's going on? My setup hasn't changed. Is there a problem with the game?

Windows 10
Intel i5
GTX 1070 Ti

select Start > Settings > Windows Update , then select Check for updates. If updates are available, you can choose to install them.

In the command prompt window, type SFC /scannow and press Enter . The system file checker utility checks the integrity of Windows system files and repairs them if required. After the process is complete, reboot

Next, download the latest nvidia driver for your 1070 ti from nvidia's website (again)
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
(not automatically via windows update) then uninstall your current driver
In Windows, click the Start button.
In the Search field, type: DEVMGMT.MSC
Press Enter to display the Device Manager.
Under Display Adapters, right-click the graphics card model and choose Properties in the context menu.
On the Driver tab, click Uninstall, select the check box to eliminate the driver software, and click OK.
Once the uninstall process is finished, restart the system and cancel any attempt by Windows to automatically reinstall the driver.
Ensure Windows is using the VGA driver (placeholder program) for the graphics card. If it is using a different driver, repeats steps 1 to 6 to remove all other existing drivers until the VGA driver is the one in use again.
Install the recommended driver you downloaded.
When installation is finished, reboot the computer

GeForce Game Ready Driver
Release Date 2016.6.7

Are you sure it's better then latest version ? Will it work properly with other apps, not only PUBG ?
I wouldn't roll back if you're sure you have the latest drivers, just reinstall that steaming pile of code so it looks like the game's gaining new players by some shareholder metric.

I reinstalled the game, checked files, and istalled latest driver, setted up lowest graphic settings, and game crashed on mine menu, after hard lags...
When was the last time it was running without any issues? What exactly does the error say?

This game started crashing for me at least once a match about 1 month ago. Was playing fine prior to this. I downloaded a new driver for my 1080ti and it just started crashing for no reason. I've tried reinstalling the game, going to different drivers from different times. Rolling back to the driver that wasn't giving me issues before. Only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling windows. The GPU doesn't even get above 65c when playing.
Likely their last 'store' update: need to keep that freedebris content fresh or their loot box slot machines aren't calibrated correctly for optimal 'allowance' revenue. Never miss a chance of breaking the game for an unscrupulous buck.

Sometimes error is "«Video Driver crashed and was reset»" error window looks like standart Windows error message with OK button.
Sometimes its PUBG error window with "Send crash logs to developers" button

are there people here who also get BSOD (VIDEO_TDR_ERROR) after the intro?

I jsut googled same info :) and this helped:
Installing Deferred Windows 10 Updates
There is a small chance that the "Video Driver crashed and was reset" error may have occurred due to the absence of certain Windows 10 updates in the system. Go to the Windows Update Center (available in the "Update and Security" settings section) and run the installation of all deferred updates. This process may take a significant amount of time (from several minutes to several hours), so be patient.
