Returning player and crazy transactions
Recently returned to Pubg and decided to drop some cash on the game. I do this for every game I play. I ended up getting the new chroma skin for the AUG in a free ticket roll and thought this would be a cool gun to get but realized I needed the progressive version to even use it. After about $1000.00 USD and still no skin I felt the need to share my experience with the store. As stated before I honestly don't mind spending cash on games but this just feels pure criminal and has greatly diminished any chance at me dropping anymore money on this game. Shame shame devs... The Ducatti's I got black and gold versions cost me over 200$. I'm guess the lambo will be even more. I hope more people bring light to this system.

First mistake. Note developer(s) before installing games for future reference, avoid con artists, subsequent investors of pubg, and "freemium" or "freedebris" games at all cost.

Second mistake (especially if you have a gambling problem). Do not willingly enter into a gambling scam with a crooked casino using slot machine mechanics designed to target naive minors.

Also called gambling disorder, this sick, over-commercialized backdoor casino preys on compulsive gambling--the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on your life. Rich or poor, 'a fool and his money are easily parted.'

Almost every casino gives free stuff if you open an account with them and make a deposit. It`s called first deposit bonus. To children wanting to fit in and stand out, measure up and commit to the game, skins may be vitally important as a sign of success: psychologically, they affect the players’ perceptions of themselves. Rewards are delivered unpredictably. This is similar to the mechanism that drives behavior on slot machines. Since players never know when the reward will show up, only that it will come sometimes, they are incentivised to keep trying.

Pan European Game Information (PEGI) system deems pubg inappropriate for those under 16. Imagine a 16 year old dropping $1,000 for poker chips in Vegas--"Can I see some ID?" Age restrictions for gambling at casinos are there for good reason. The feeling you have after seeing what it's all about is not only valid, it's correct due to lack of legislation for video games incorporating loot boxes. Games like pubg are engineered to keep children not just playing but also paying. Psychological, manipulative, commercialized tactics are being used to encourage spending, many of which are drawn from the gambling industry.

Gaming should not be reliant on the exploitation of children and the most vulnerable for profit. Children and young people need special protection from aggressive commercialism, as much as from other forces that would seek to exploit them.

It is in the best interests of children to bring loot boxes under gambling rules and regulations, specifically a requirement to prove that purchasers are 18 or over.

Yea just sucks you don't progressively get a higher chance the more you spend. I mean it's a single gun skin haha

The odds are clearly listed anywhere that the gacha system can be played in PUBG, so you knew the odds going into it.

The monetization system they're using is the same one used by every live service game except Helldivers 2. You dropped 1,000$ on it and wonder why it exists? It exists because dum dums drop big money like that on the system.

if you spent so much on cases you can just use scrap and buy the skin

I have four progressiv weapons and one of them is level 7 already and all for free.

Ok, not totally free but I never spend much money on it.

I LOVE THE GAME AND THE GAME LOVES ME, BABY
That's bad luck. I rolled my 7th free progressive a few days ago when I opened two crates as a joke and rolled 3x scamatic + Aug bumper blaster.

My levels are aug(2) ace(3) akm(6) m24(8)

Did all this leveling for free. Have never spent money on progressives.

I smashed the neon dream aug, the halloween m4, the Halloween m4 chroma, and the ugly lightning beryl progressive.

same. the one progressive skin i have (M24), i'm at level 4 right now with all those polymers i got from free rolls. i could go up to level 7, but i really don't like how it adds bulk to the gun around level 5 so it's just at 4 right now

Speaking of skins... I just pulled the new dragunov progressive. Trying to figure out if I should buy the chroma for 6,500 (1,170usd) scrap.

It looks so uwu nice.

Prestige pricing: the higher price is part of the marketing strategy--higher "perceived" value.
Labels like "Elite," "Legendary," or inflated in-game currency pricing.

Exploiting minors isn't a good thing.

Commercial content / advertising for it is not a good look.
