Game freezing every 3 seconds for 0.5 seconds after update

I've not played for a few months but I went to play today and when in-game, every 3 seconds the game freezes for a brief moment but its actually unplayable. I'm not sure what the issue is, I don;t have anything else running in the back ground but it does seem to be taking 90% of my CPU usage even though this is remaining at a normal in game temp.

I have played many times using the same system I'm currently on with 0 issues on ultra settings. Changing the graphics settings does not resolve this problem.

Please can someone help? Any ideas?

32GB RAM
3070FE
12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 cpu
2x 2tb NVME SSD

Windows button + i /gaming and deactivate game bar & recording.

Open your search bar of Windows and write, cmd and open it pls with rights of admin.
Now write sfc /scannow.

It's the repair tool of Windows for corrupt data.

Verify the files of PUBG and try it again.

If you still have it after, google LatencyMon and download it from website you know.

Start LatencyMon and press the play button left in the corner and play some round until the problems appears. Now join back to LatencyMon and check for any abnormal latency.

If so, post me what driver/process caused it.

its ok to get stutters once in a while since 100 players but idk about freezing

hi buddy thank you for this, it actually worked. Not sure which part as I did them both and rebooted but one of, or both fixed the issue.
