Is unreal engine 4 so bad or game?
No matter how powerful your pc is, it will lag, stutter or freeze. I guess even NASA computer might coudln't handle this stupid mistake which called a game

100% cpu usage on i5 12450H, then freeze, crash

PUBG is smooth and generally great graphics performance for me and 99% of the people I play with. It's had years of optimization and refinement ...and it shows. I don't have a current gen CPU or GPU or anything fancy, and it still will pump out 160FPS at 4k.

...of course them doing nothing about cheaters is another matter, but performance wise it's great

For me with an Intel Core I5 13400F , 16 GB RAM DDR5 and an RTX 3050 8 GB Runs almsot all the time 200+ fps
runs smooth

The Engine is 100% not the problem... Pubg devs have a skill issue

I have 4070TI i9 12900k 32gb ram but sometimes it freezes for second and stutter. Other hard games work smooth, but pubg has a issue with optimization. 3-4 years ago pubg has been working smooth, but after every updates it getting worse and worse

Ryzen 5700x / RTX4070Ti / DDR4 32GB / Win10 Pro, all air cooled, low temps - game is smooth for me. No issues with any of the patches so far, though I had a bud experience game crashes a few years ago but his system was a potato, he's updated to a new build and the game has been smooth for him since.
