what's the point of having G-Coin now? why do we have to buy with another wallet?

It isn't another wallet, just direct-purchase through Steam.

We can only speculate why, but it offers one more thing they can give away through the pass. Apex for example, offers the in-game currency through the pass and if we don't spend it, we can buy the next pass with it.

PUBG is different because the store doesn't get new stuff every week but Apex does.

They can't give the pass for free all the time and adding a new currency to the game again also would be the worst thing because there are too many things already.

The only problem is see there is the last G-coins sell out where many thought, I buy some now and pay the next incoming pass with it. The should have announced the changes about it last patch.

The G-coins still have the same sense where we can buy stuff as before just not the pass anymore.

Many do exactly that with the g-coins, buy them on sale and use them for the passes.

Only one month ago they had the double g-coin sale, no mention at all that the g-coins being purchased will not be usable on future passes. Glad I've not bought any g-coin in years, feel sorry for those that purchased a years worth for passes though.

Very deceptive.
