First person mode is dead.
Why is first person mode dead? Who the hell wants to play third person? What happened to first person being way more popular like when it first came out?

FPS mode is dying/dead in the USA because the player base there is a fraction of what it was.

90% of player count will typically be in Asia whom seem to prefer TPP.

Players from Asia may VPN to NA and prop up TPP mode but they'll make the desync terrible.

This unfortunately is the reality right now, with areas outside of Asia dead/dying but propped up by laggy VPN players from Asia.

Your best bet would be local prime time (after work/school time).

It just takes a while to get a game. Sometimes up to 2 1/2 minutes. Myself and my brother have been playing it in first person mode for about a year and are now racking up more chicken dinners. then in third person mode. In third person you can see another player come around the corner from a mile away no such thing in first person mode.
in FPP you got people that sweat for their lives, in TPP people just want to chill and play a normal game with their friends,

I love shooting into the backs of a player with a whole magazine and then they turn around and one tap your forehead..

How about ping lock the servers?
80MS or less only consistently for 20 seconds or you can join

Ping lock will exclude some legit players. I agree though, if it was hard locked and booted you if your ping was too high it would be better overall. However, it then brings in a lot of other management issues such as people on the edge, some days they might have 90ms ping, and others 79ms ping. Or some not physically close enough to any server to manage the 80ms ping.

i posted here an idea that would reduce the VPN players, but not impact legit players.

I've had no feedback telling me it wouldn't work.

The downside to this, is in places like NA, queues would get extended out even more as any VPN players propping up the player base would be reduced. However, that might be offset by players returning back to NA because of better games.

Thats why the PUBG marketing bots all try and get people to play FFP and claim theres no cheaters.
In the lifespan of PUBG Shield, I think the % of reports that were successful was a split like 87% of the reports was in FPP and 13% was TPP. This was taken from the full snapshot of all successful bans from PUBG shield over a three month timeframe - think it was around 86 or 87% average were FPP.
Simply because the game is dead itself.
RU,NA,EU is pretty much dead regions often filled with bots at late night or early morning.
Its not more than 70k online united from all that regions. Other 200k online is Asia servers.
Why is that happening?
Because of culture difference. People on Asia often decide to stick into low quality games which requre extreme skill to compete.
When everyone else already left playing Fortnite,CS,Apex,COD etc...
I suggest you leaving this game too, there is nothing great left in PUBG.
I prefer face a cheater on TPP than FPP.
