FPS drops, any fix ?

Hi, I bought a new gen PC last month, I bought and made it all by myself (no AIO) and I got a big problem.
(Specification at the end)

I have only 60fps max ( I have 60 only a few seconds) then my PUBG stack fps on 59 (where I have a second lags when rotating camera) and have the biggest drops even to 30 at map lobby (when rotating character) or quick after landing.

It's soo annoying coz I played on this PC games such as Metro Exodus, AC Origins, AC Syndicate, R6 Siege, Battlefront II and many other with no drops, no lags, no stuttering at High/Ultra graphic settings with always 120+ fps.

I don't even setup a medium settings in game, I'm trying to starting matches even with all on Low/Very Low except of View Distance and textures on High.
Resolution on my native screen settings 1920x1080.

Common issues like:
~Hot pc case ? Nah. I got 55-65° at PUBG game on CPU and 50-70° on GPU.
~Update Graphic card drivers? Nah. I got all newest drivers, I tested game on 3 diffrent versions of drivers, same.
~Maybe you screw up pin in Dual Channel RAM? Nah. I got it like in instruction to get my double rams compatible.
~Old or defected disk ? Nah. I bought new SSD and all games launch and work on it perfectly fine.
~I haven't overclocked my PC parts too.

My actual setup:
gpu: Rx 6600XT 8gb VRAM (2021)
cpu: Ryzen 5 5600X
ram: 2x 8gb 3200Hz
Mobo: Aorus B550 elite v2
Seasonic S12III 650W 80 Plus Bronze


Anyone can help me gets normal (60+? 120+?) fps in this game ? Any tips or probably fixes? I really don't have an idea how can I fix that.

ive had it too but i noticed it got better when i had more space on my driver that pubg is installed on, so more memory.

Nah. 400gb free disc space

go to the game settings you probably have in-game FPS cap set to 60 fps change it to unlimited and don't activete smoothed frama rate

Its better to limit FPS so GPU (and CPU) will not overheat so much, theres no need to have 200 FPS on 60 Hz monitor, 60 Hz monitor can display 60 FPS. 140 Hz monitor 140 FPS.
For example if you ve got 140 Hz monitor, set FPS limit to 145 and you re fine, no need to push GPU to max limits. Of course it can handle for example 230 FPS, but you dont need it, cause monitor will not show you that FPS above 140..
With 60 Hz monitors go for limited 65 fps etc etc.

Do this with all games, theres no need to play some old-school RPG for example with 380 FPS, GPU to the max limits, heat, need more power etc.. When you ve got 60 Hz monitor.. Yes, its nice to have lets say 140 FPS in PUBG, but for this you need also 140 Hz monitor :) Programs like FRAPS will show you that you have 140 FPS, but its like system information, 140 FPS on 60 Hz monitor - your eyes see 60 FPS, but system works for 140 FPS - needlessly..

Protect your GPU and whole PC from unnecessarily overheating if you can.

Nah. I tried it on locked fps with 60, 70 and 120fps. I tried also unlimitted fps. Same problem.

I know all of this rules and you're perfectly right :) In most of my games I have 120fps locked, f.e in R6S i checked an 120fps lock and it's smoove and clear even when my pc can push limits to 400fps+ in this game :)
But this didn't solved my problem either :/

Did you try full fullscreen setting?


G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64

Click on TslGame.exe right mouse button/properties/compatibility and deactivate Windows Fullscreen optimization.

Join your AMD Graphic tool of your GPU and search for a setting where you can set it to fullscreen too. Ingame of PUBG do the same pls and try it again.

In my Nivida it's a tab that calls "Display position and scaling", so I hope you have some in your AMD tool too.

Now try it again and come back if it didn't work.

Games do not like the fullscreen optimization of Windows.
It's not bad all the time but I do have it off in all my games.

Looong time ago :v
