If cpu is 100% and you're getting freezes then somthing else is running in the background sucking up resources.
I had 8 gb in at the time so i took another 2bg out of another pc and tried with 10 gb and although better it was not great
I put another 2gb in to bring my ram upto 12gb and it seems a lot better now
Im using an i5 2500k 12 gb memory and an r9270x 2 gb
Im playing on a tv that only goes to 720 p and when i tried the game yesterday i was getting about 50 - 70 fps and the game was running smooth enough for me
You could try msi afterburner and set up the onscreen display and check all the stats and temps
maybe something is overheating causing a thermal throttle
But the original freezes i was getting was more than just the hdd i think.
The game would not just stutter but it would lock up completely for over 5 seconds or more
but if your GPU is at 100% how is it being bottlenecked by anything, its runnign at max. And why is it OK for a GPU to be at 100% and not a CPU? You seem to think that if a cpu is at 100% then its struggling.......then why dont you think teh same for a GPU? Think your a bit confused mate.
