Yellow/orange lines under compass?
Hey guys, sometimes when I'm playing I notice for a very brief period there is a yellow or orange line under a small section of the compass, almost indicating a direction.
But each time it's there, neither me nor my teammate are actually doing anything so ... what do these lines mean/indicate?!

Maybe your teammates just set a mark on the map?

you're absolutely right, we must've been somehow managing to click without meaning it while alt'ing around.
It works differently to a normal marker which just says "go here", these pingers (for want of a better word), actually home in and line up with what your partner is looking at when they ping. They don't provide distance but they provide angle for the other player(s). So instead of having one player say "enemy 175 from me", that person can ping the enemy and the compass heading is calculated to be relevant to everyone else.

Fyi: things you may not know
-you can mark it using alt+ middle mouse (said)
-when you mark, you can tag the ‘elevation’ as well (if you put below the hill, once you walk up of it, the marker will be behind you)
-last around 15-30secs (to be comfirm)

More like 5-10 seconds, FWIW.

This only partially answers the question ... the horisontal line marks a compas-bearing (doesnt show on map) .... you ALSO mark at place on the map thus marking TWO different objects at the SAME time on the compas :)
