did it work?
You need to fix these files anyway, so do the steps.
The problem is generated by the DirectX's .dll
SOLUTION for PC x64 (I guess for PC x32 it will also work):
- Create two folders on your desktop and call them Format32 and SysWOW64 (inside these two folders we will copy the following .dll so as not to lose the originals)
1-Go to C: + Windows + System32. Ctrl+X the following .dll and paste them into the folder created on your desktop "System32":
*d3dcsx_42.dll
*d3dcsx_43.dll
*d3dx9_24.dll
*d3dx9_25.dll
*d3dx9_26.dll
*d3dx9_27.dll
*d3dx9_28.dll
*d3dx9_29.dll
*d3dx9_29.dll
*d3dx9_30.dll
*d3dx9_31.dll
*d3dx9_32.dll
*d3dx9_33.dll
*d3dx9_34.dll
*d3dx9_35.dll
*d3dx9_36.dll
*D3DX9_37.dll
*D3DX9_38.dll
*D3DX9_39.dll
*D3DX9_40.dll
*D3DX9_41.dll
*D3DX9_42.dll
*D3DX9_43.dll
*d3dx10.dll
*d3dx10_33.dll
*d3dx10_34.dll
*d3dx10_35.dll
*d3dx10_36.dll
*d3dx10_37.dll
*d3dx10_38.dll
*d3dx10_39.dll
*d3dx10_40.dll
*d3dx10_41.dll
*d3dx10_42.dll
*d3dx10_43.dll
*d3dx11_42.dll
*d3dx11_43.dll
*X3DAudio_1_2.dll
*X3DAudio_1_3.dll
*X3DAudio_1_4.dll
*X3DAudio_1_5.dll
*X3DAudio_1_6.dll
*X3DAudio_1_7.dll
*XAPOFX1_0.dll
*XAPOFX1_1.dll
*XAPOFX1_2.dll
*XAPOFX1_3.dll
*XAPOFX1_4.dll
*XAPOFX1_5.dll
*xinput1_1.dll
*xinput1_2.dll
*xinput1_3.dll
(When you paste the System32 folder on your desktop, delete all these .dlls from the Windows System32 folder. Don't worry, all these .dlls will appear again when we reinstall DirectX)
2-Go to C: + Windows + SysWOW64. Ctrl+X the following .dll and paste them into the folder created on your desktop "SysWOW64":
*d3dx9_24.dll
*d3dx9_25.dll
*d3dx9_26.dll
*d3dx9_27.dll
*d3dx9_28.dll
*d3dx9_29.dll
*d3dx9_29.dll
*d3dx9_30.dll
*d3dx9_31.dll
*d3dx9_32.dll
*d3dx9_33.dll
*d3dx9_34.dll
*d3dx9_35.dll
*d3dx9_36.dll
*D3DX9_37.dll
*D3DX9_38.dll
*D3DX9_39.dll
*D3DX9_40.dll
*D3DX9_41.dll
*D3DX9_42.dll
*D3DX9_43.dll
*d3dx10.dll
*d3dx10_33.dll
*d3dx10_34.dll
*d3dx10_35.dll
*d3dx10_36.dll
*d3dx10_37.dll
*d3dx10_38.dll
*d3dx10_39.dll
*d3dx10_40.dll
*d3dx10_41.dll
*d3dx10_42.dll
*d3dx10_43.dll
*d3dx11_42.dll
*d3dx11_43.dll
*X3DAudio_1_2.dll
*X3DAudio_1_3.dll
*X3DAudio_1_4.dll
*X3DAudio_1_5.dll
*X3DAudio_1_6.dll
*X3DAudio_1_7.dll
*XAPOFX1_0.dll
*XAPOFX1_1.dll
*XAPOFX1_2.dll
*XAPOFX1_3.dll
*XAPOFX1_4.dll
*XAPOFX1_5.dll
*xinput1_1.dll
*xinput1_2.dll
*xinput1_3.dll
(When you paste to the SysWOW64 folder on your desktop, delete all these .dlls from the Windows System32 folder. Don't worry, all these .dlls will appear again when we reinstall DirectX)
3-Go to the following Microsoft link and download DirectX in your language:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
4- Close all applications
5- Install DirectX
6- Make sure Windows and graphics drivers are updated
7-Restart Windows
8-Good luck.
POSTSCRIPT: This problem was exclusive to PUBG, the rest of the games that I have installed worked correctly, if the STEAM error continues, look at the name of the .dll that generates the conflict and add them to the list before reinstalling DirectX.
If you have solved the problem, you can delete both folders from your desktop. If the problem continues, I recommend you paste the .dll back to the original folders (System32 & susWOW64).
Goodbye from Spain.
