PUBG "you have been banned from STEAM"

I logged on to steam and I get an Account Alert saying that I have "You have been banned in PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS by the game's developers." I get on the game and the ban says that it's from steam. 4 Questions.
1. Is the ban from steam or PUBG game devs?
2. What did I do to get banned or how can I find out?
3. Does this have to do with VACS from other games?
4. Is it permanent or is it just a couple of days long?

Whats the proof that I cheated you 4 year old. Did you even bother looking at anything or you just saw the word "Ban" and instantly went to the conclusion that it was cheats? Do you have any sort of thought process at all?

There are literally millions of possiblities for game bans on PUBG and you assume that it was for cheating. That the most ridiculous thing i think i've ever heard.

There are several things that could have gotten you banned, either temporarily or permanent (if cheating or otherwise severe) .. you could have TKd, you could have been teaming or appeared to be.. you could have been caught stream sniping.. you could have been abusing exploits.. you could have abused ingame voice chat.. any number of things.

Your best options are probably to either go to the official pubg forums (check pinned/stickied threads at top of discussions here) and attempt to find out the reason for your ban and possibly appeal it.. or wait it out a few days and see if you're unbanned (if so, it was a temporary one) .. though in a lot of cases it would be helpful I would think, to know the reasoning behind a ban.
