How bad is the optimization?

I have a 4 year old PC and it runs just fine. Are you trying to run this on a 2003 eMachines?

I chimed in at the 50-80 fps is stable part. I couldn't give less of a ♥♥♥♥ to what you have to say about this game. I only wanted to point out that your statement that an fps fluctuation like that doesn't mean it's stable. It's playable by a long way, but it doesn't mean the fps is stable. And I wasn't implying that PC players are going to migrate. Nobody in their right mind would unless they wanted something compact and cheap to game with. More and more people are starting to grow out of the battle royale fad at this point, but consoles are only now starting to grasp at it now that they've gotten their hands on Fortnite.

50 to 80 is anything but stable, given the difference between 30 FPS. That's a large fluctuation we are talking about here. But that's all fine no matter what your specs are, considering there is no optimization since day one. And there will be none when the game launches either.

Lmao, at the people constantly defending this game. Yes I love the game, and yes it's the best battleroyal game on the market today, but the game is broken as ♥♥♥♥. About Fortnite. I've been playin it because it's pretty smooth, and has been done right. Only thing is I wish it had ironsights, and scopes to customize each weapon, but oh well. Atleast it's smooth. PUBG is a broken mess even though I love it. I stopped playing because of how bad it is. Performance is trash. I guess alot of devs that use unreal engine don't know how to use it or something, because unreal engine has it's issues. Anyways I know my processor is holding me back, but then again it asks for min specs to be a fx 6300 for amd, and I have a fx 9590, 16gb ram, and asus r9 390x. So ya mine meet recomended specs, and the games fps is all over the place. Certain parts of the map I can get 50-60fps, but certain parts of the map, and bigger cities even with everything on low it struggles to stay above 25-30 fps. Fanboys is what ruins the game getting any better being in denial that there's no problem. Maybe for you, but alot of people even people with hgih end pc's is having issues as wel.. Also BLuhole is sueing fornite for bs.

LMAO at the kids constantly crying and complaining about Early Access games, the kids who dont know how games are developed, the kids who cry and whine for features to be pushed out instantly, the kids who cry and whine for constant quick updates and when they get them they cry more about said updates breaking features and say "why arent you testing before you push out updates", then when devs do more testing before pushing out updates, the kids cry more and say "game abandoned" or "dead game" or " the updates are to slow".

lesson to learn? ignore cry babies kids who dont know sh!t about game development :).

thats a win 10 issue not the game patch, it was complained about quite a bit in the forums but chinese spam pushed all of it out.

fyi im on win 7 pro and have no issues with the latest patch on the live servers, well cant say no issues, i have issues with the chinese cheaters in this game, the only game issue i have currently is playing @ 4k or higher on fullscreen makes the mouse pointer disapear, so i have to magically navigate to the resoultion to set it to 4k or higher and then magically change from fullscreen to fullscreen windowed (fyi anything not plain fullscreen gives way lower fps).

As far as the stuttering goes, windows 10 needs to be optimized on your end for gaming. fresh install of windows 10 can use all cpu and ram when gaming. after tweaking windows it will run a hell of a lot better.. try these guides to see if it helps:

This was a article pcgamer released a week or so ago... If you tweak 10 it can truly be better than 7. without tweaking it doesnt run as well for gaming.

just wish they would continue supporting win7 and add dx12 aswell, i really dislike win 10 and i dont like how its mainly for mobile devices and has a ton of touchscreen nonsense and app junk, plus the horrible spying nonsense which they say you can disable yet do we really know its disabled... lol.

edit: forgot to mention that win 10 only supports you if you have what they consider up to date hardware, anything they deem out of date wont give you support or updates.

Agreed. There was talks of dx12 coming to w7 but that was just talk so far. I personally hate windows 10 and refuse to use it until w7 is no longer supported or until there is a real benefit to using 10.
