I'm level 19, why am i against 400+ players ?

I bought PUBG in 2017 i think. Used to play it on/off for over 2 years, got around 500h in it, then got tired of all the server issues and quit. I've recently (a few days ago) reinstalled it to have some fun. First thing i've noticed is a drastic drop of players, but at the time i was playing, it was still way over 150k+ online, so i thought it's not that bad, even though in 2019 it was a few hundred thousands minimum. Everything was fine, but then i got killed by 300-400+ (last game 500+) level players a few times, while i am like 20, no clue how it is calculated though. Literally the moment i saw someone, i got immediately killed, it took them all like a second max after they saw me to instakill, and it was not a point-blank range in the building cause that's a lottery, it was approx. between 50-100 meters all the time.


My question is : is it normal for the matchmaking to be absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ currently ? Is 100-150k players not enough for the system to match low level players who don't have a few thousand of hours in this game with other low level players ? I've read some bad stuff about current state of this game and experienced it first hand, so i guess it's indeed true. If yes, then that's kinda sad. I have nothing against high level, very skilled players, but after like 2 years of not playing the game and having a low level, i shouldn't be playing against them, i expect to be matched with players like me, not dudes that have been playing this game constantly for years. Maybe that's partly the reason why the playerbase has dipped so badly.

op idk why you have issues * Must just be a regional thing * just played my first tpp squad match on this account. won with 12 kills. id tbh LOVE to see some gameplay of you actually playing a match to gauge what type of player you actually are. \

ALSO assuming you're not playing the ranked mode... the only mode that separate skill groups... like... how all games work... thats why it's called casual. not equal rank zone.... The only time rank puts you with low level players.. is if you were stupid enough to pre lobby with people before rank to get a fake fluffed rank.... as your placement soft cap rank is a lot different than your shown rank since its based on individual skill and not group based things which is why you could get placed with people of lower rank than yourself. ( same way csgo/rainbow six ranks work. )
this is another reason why they say solo ranks are the only true ranks IF You dont play with that preset team indefinitely

Maybe because Bluehole officially stated that 99% of the cheaters are from a certain country and because those players all prefer TPP? And thanks to VPN services they still have easy access to all the other servers around the world where they don't have to encounter so many people of their own kind.

i do gotta say. bluehole . never. said anything like this ever. in fact. they told teh community to stop being xenophobic on the topic... in fact it was common sence tpp would have more cheaters. as tpp is the default play button mode. they never stated anyone was from anywhere had more cheaters . as that would be unprofessional.... you will never know where your hacker is from or what nationality they are... most use voice changers/vpns its as much a chance as it being your neighbor as it can be any (insert x location). and most people who grew up past the 80's-2000's know at least 2-3 languages if they went and actually tried in school. i learned Spanish/french/German/Italian by the time i started highschool back in Jersey..Since then i only started working on my mandarin... . so trying to use a they speak this is a bs excuse.

ok again. that source you shared. HAD zero evidence that was ever said. zero. in fact. battle eye has zero record of that data being processed on that day in their logs as well.. weird.
and that entire post used this page as a fact checker https://youxistory.com/2018/02/99-of-banned-pubg-accounts-come-from.html so not only did you use a source that isnt good. but they as well used unconfirmed sources who... go figure... removed their content after baiting x journalists to jump suit... that is not fact. NOR does it show anywhere where bluehole. OR Battleeye officially releasing a statement.

The only time brandon came close to sayign something like that was when in 2018 Creator Brendan Greene told Kotaku in December that the vast majority of PUBG cheaters are now based in China, where cheating in online games is "seen as kind of a little bit more acceptable"
never said anything about them being of the chinese race . as he clearly also mentions teh fact MOST PEOPLE SCAPE GOAT and use vpns..... so most the time there is NO knowing where they actually are....

i dont have an issue in almost 70% of my games. i have no issue getting to top ten. in fact i have no issue winning. YOU average 1-3 kills a game since you no longer play the modes with bots.... YOUR MOVEMENT MAP shows you camp over HALF The game time each time you play. You're a camper... no wonder you think everyone who kills you is a hacker. yet im not playing on a entry level potatoe. with even cheaper internet. EVERY online game has issues with cheaters. ITS Just more apparent IN GAMES WHERE YOU HAVE 1 life PER MATCH.... stupid people like you can barely see between the lines though.

PUBG isn't the only game on the market without any matchmaking and they already did try to solve/decrease the problem. That is the reason why we got ranked.

It just doesn't work as expected because it needs a very big playerbase around the clock.
You need minimum 3 groups and thousands of players in just one of them.

Low, middle and high ranks.

So it's not like they never did listen or something.

If you wanna play PUBG more fast you have to play TDM. There you can fight a lot without the negative aspects of the main game. Just spawn fight die and repeat.
