XP and Progression System
So PUBG is fun but is lacking a huge thing that other similar games are utilizing that will leave PUBG in the dust: an XP level based progression system and daily/weekly objectives. The mobile version released today and has ALL of these features and encourages players to come back daily. How come the mobile version has an actual, well done progression system but the most the PC version has are leaderboards and crates that have 1 item and take a long time to earn?

As a PUBG player since before beta, I have stopped playing because there is zero incentive to keep coming back. Are we ever going to get an xp based level system or daily/weekly challenges that award us currency for crates?

Well I think what you mean are at the moment the Battle Points. It kinda encurages you to play, get coins and then crates.
But I am agreeing on your point and I hope that something like that will still be added to the game.

The battle points aren't enough. It takes far too long to get enough for one crate and then to get one item from said crate. Plus, some crates cost a lot of battle points and then you have to use real money to get a key to open them? That is bogus. I want a legit progression system and daily/weekly achievements or PUBG will get passed by Fortnite and left in the water.
why would xp and level system mean anything

Having any kind of actual progression in the game without directly paying money would be a positive. The crates may accomplish this, but i've spent over 10000 BP- something like 30 hours of grinding and only got depsperado crates that I have no need to open.

Because it gives you incentive to come back for more, get cool cosmetic items, etc. It is single handedly why Fortnite has surpassed PUBG in player count. Constant new items/modes, progression, an actual working game. Giving us a solid progression system, something to work towards, is replayability. Without it, the game is repetive and, after 51.1 hours, becomes a boring slosh.
NO NO NO NO NO

This is not COD, Crates are pointless apart from selling to idiots.

You either win or lose.

that is not why fortnight has more players, fortnight is free to play, has low requirements and is also on consoles while riding on pubg's hype

Are there really people who play games to earn virtual clothing and acheivements rather than to have fun with the actual gameplay? If the gameplay bores you, a leveling system or a virtual hat would bring you back?

why do you think games have progression in the first place?

Funny how people need to be awarded medals, pretty clothes, and other nonsence these days.

Back in the days, you played and got better....that was the ''progression''.....not like today...where everybody needs a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ medal for jacking off...or reloading their gun...throw in some ''achievements'' aswell for walking 10 meters without dying...so you can feel ''achieved''...and the circle is complete.
''Everybody gets a medal'' <=this is why things are going to ♥♥♥♥ in general.( or one of the reasons atleast)

Because when you enter REAL life, you usually don't get rewarded ♥♥♥♥ for doing anything....there's no achievement for flipping 50 burgersa on mcdonalds without killing a customer.
\end of rant

Achivements have been part of game software ever since 1990, its by no mean a recent developement. there is a difference between playing and getting better, rather than playing with no incentive. For example, in CS:GO, you don't really get any skins. Sure, you'll occasionally get one upon leveling up, but it will always be a common item worth like 3 cents. You are incentivized to play, however, due to the ranking system. PUBG completely lacks a viewable ranking system asides from the leaderboards, which nobody really pays attention to, save for a few. PUBG lacks in any sort of incentive to play the game, after a certain amount of time, you've basically experienced everything. If skins weren't ingame, why are you even wasting your time grinding for something. In summary, achievements are mainly to add incentives to play games, and are not just "everybody's special" sort of thing.

I play games to waste time and have fun.
I don't need viritual medals, and pretty dresses to do so.

I don't play games for ''achievements'' and ''badges'' or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you are moaning about.

Hehe, i don't REALLY care though, just wanted to splurge out some hate about the whole skin\crate economy and all that other medal\achievement bullcrap.
