PUBG Poor FPS on "High End PC"
My PC is running a
-GTX 1080
-I7 7700k
-16gb Ram
-Optimal cooling (Never too hot to cause throttling)
These specs in mind, I cannot get PUBG to run well on my PC, yeah I would consider it playable but not great. FPS is about 30-60 and doesn't change between low and ultra settings and will usually sit on the lower end of 30. When it is up near 60 it likes to stutter and have bad screen tearing, I have done all I can think of, any strange suggestions from anybody in my situation?

Just wait for Dec 20th or whenever Pubg Fully releases. OR play the test servers for now. No point wasting money when your computer is already good enough.

Diod you ever think of playing on the test server?

I bet you didnt.

Screen tearing only happens when your screen cannot handle the FPS...

I think you just mean artifacts.

I think Screen teraing happens when the fps goes above you rmonitors refresh rate.

Try rereading his comment and you'll see that is what he pretty much said.

I use a i7 3770k with a 1070. Plays just fine. I don't pay much attention to the frames as much as I did a few months back, mainly because things have got much better for me. I'd say im around 80-100 on avg but it's a guess. Just the number i see Steam reporting when I look at my frames from time to time.

I think peoples big issue is that they have some kind of software issue that is causing their framerate issues. Games don't like certain software running or OSDs being displayed on the screen. Basically don't use any monitoring software unless you know it's setup 100%, i bet a million dollars most don't have it setup correctly. Was a big issue for BO3 players.

There is litterally all kinds of software that can cause issues. Some of it is related to windows 10 like the xbox game and game dvr. Disable all that. Turn off apps under privacy, actually id turn off all of the privacy settings, they are not needed.

I have a similar system as OP and I used a pubg performance guide on youtube and there is one in the forums but can't find it and honestly aside from server lag and desync I get pretty good performance and never drops below 60 fps pretty much any 10 series card should be capable of this friends have 1070's and they get good fps. This is not a just put everything on ultra and your golden game its an EA tweak settings. Also running everything on ultra as opposed to low or very low has little to no impact on the game visuals but seems to have an effect on your gpu load.

don't you think i tried it already?
ssd secure erase, clean windows installation and the same with all the drivers needed have been performed a month ago with no result.
As MrChinChin said just wait 2 days to get the new live server update, then everything should be just fine

You dont need to wait for an update, you need to run your pc properly. My 1080 runs well over 100fps constantly with every setting ultra.

If they have heavy use of the page file they can, like this game, there is more to performance and a smooth experience than just the bottom line FPS.

Yes they can, if the game has to pull data from the hdd, the you can get stutters. A ssd will transfer much faster. Its not really going to happen much on a good pc with plenty of ram but it can happen.
Arma games can lag when scoping in on complex scenes, a ssd will fix it. Just an example.
