PUBG Very slow Textures Loading (1 to 2 min). How I Fixed it.
Hi all,

This seems to be a recurrent problem amongst Pubg community. When you land, you have to wait for 1 to 2 minutes until textures or even buildings sometimes, load.

I have tried all fixes from changing the launch parameters (all core active thingy) to changing view distance from 1 to 2 then 3. I also disabled Shadowplay, put everything on very low graphicswise, but nothing would work.

I have 3 HDD : one of 250gb, the other 2 of 500gb. I installed PUBG on my 250GB hdd.

After some checking I realised something : my 250gb HDD was slower than the other two...

Here are the references :

250 GB ==> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136113
500 GB ==> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769

I have no knowledge of what these numbers means, but it "seems" that both 500gb disks are "faster" (when u look at numbers.. lol).

So, i moved my Pubg folder to one of the 500 gb drive and it all works very fine now. Everything is loading before I can even land on the ground, whereas before I had to wait for 1 or 2 minutes for textures to load...

So I guess if u have this problem, it is all about the drive where u put Pubg folder.

It's honestly more about not having enough ram more than likely, I'm assuming you have 8g and are paging. Windows places the page file on the primary drive where windows is installed. By moving the game to an alternate drive you more than likely seperated the game files from the page file. This will allow the game to use the drives in parallel basically doubling your load times.

Everyone experiencing problems with load times should 1) get a secondary solid state for games 2) get 16g of memory(technically I've never seen the game use above 10g but most people don't slot 12g)

i would recommend getting a solid state hard drive to put pubg and windows on there

This would increase your game load speed & also the texture load rate

system hard drive is always busy with system resources meaning it prolong loading times.

I have a potato hard drive and never had texture loading problem, just because system is not on it

I had the exact same problem and i fixed the problem by going to my local compuer store and buying a 15GB USB 3.0 and plugged it into my computers 3.0 slot and installed PUBG and my texture glitches disapeered completely. its cheaper than buying a SSD but if you want long time improvements go for an SSD.

If you have multiple HDD's (i.e ssd, hdd, sshd etc) disable page file on all of them except the one which is SSD ( C:\ ).

Pagefile on 8gb should do the trick.

Note: Only enable pagefile on the disk you are running games on :)

Even people with SSDs still see no loot loading. Its not related to the hard drive, something else is the issue. More than likely its just the game,
Some likely see the issue less or dont notice it as much if you have 16gb n a ssd. Not a fix but it should help. The game is the main issue, needs better optimizations.
