That's all thats happened here. You aren't using a macro. You literally rebind the shoot key to mouse wheel up or down.
The game should have a capped fire rate for single fire.... eg: 700rpm, if you can click 700 times in a minute good for you. If you can't, use mousewheel for ez mode. Though i always found recoil harder to control when using mouse wheel as a shooting key bind due to the speed being harder to control between each shot compared with lmb.
I have used this in many shooters with single fire weapons. I keep both lmb and the mouse wheel bound depending on if i need CQB fast shooting or accurate long shots.
You don't need a gaming mouse for this. You could use any $10 mouse if you wanted.
Not at all a macro, just optimizing the key binds with the devices you have available.
