EU servers much worse than NA servers as EU player

How can It be that i'm forced to play in NA servers living in europe ?? EU servers for squad players ( 4 players ) are really bad in comparation with NA servers.

I know this is an early access, but how can this be possible? I'm forced to play in NA if I want to be able to kill something.

Anyone else in europe having this issue?

Its true though.

We noticed it in our group also, that playing on the NA servers, regulated a smoother, quicker, and less laggier gameplay, than being from EU, and playing on EU servers.

Something is way ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wrong with that.

Yes, exact the same problem, also the Hit Reg is much better on NA Servers, im from Switzerland, that make no sense to me, idk how high my ping on a NA Server is, i guess way higher then on a EU Server.

I play on US and EU servers regularly and definitely see a smoother play on the EU servers. I am eastern USA, so I have a feeling it's something to do with low latency (lower ping) and the netcode. I have a 80 ping or so to the Ireland Amazon facilities and a 12-16 ms ping to the East coast (Reston) Amazon facilities.

I'm willing to bet it might be something server side with bufferbloat or not running a real-time kernel of Linux. They should just set the minimum response time for everyone at 60 ms (meaning a ping below 60ms will still only run responses at 60ms) or so and I bet it will improve the game for everyone on all continents.

I'm in Northern England, on a 100+MB fibre optic cable line, and the EU servers are terrible compared to the NA servers due to the amount of traffic they get. The EU servers have obviously been set up differently compared to the NA servers. It's like if you have fibre optic broadband, it screws you over due to everyone being on third world 56k or ADSL still in Eastern Europe.

Just out of curiousity, could the people who think EU's servers are crap please describe where you are located?

Crit-Man is from England and says he has troubles, but he's pretty close to where many of Amazon's region are located (Ireland and London).

I really think the reason the EU servers run poorly for so many is because they are literally too close to them and the netcode doesn't account for the low latency well.

it accually makes all the sense, you are thinking just pure distance, but not about the internet cable type or how wound up it is in really populated areas.

you are connected to the US via underground fiber optics lines, while in the EU you are connected by a huge jumbled mass of a mix of fiber optics and copper wire through every city, weak relay hubs that are processing hundreds of thousands of requests, and ofcourse throttleing game connection speeds to clear up bandwith for everyone else.

EU server is filled with African players with over 300 ping and they lag out the servers due to there not being a limit put in place.

I just played my first game on NA server and I have to say that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did my game run smooth. There was no lag at all, everything worked instantly (opening doors, getting into cars etc.). I almost couldn't beleave this because I live in Finland and have an ADSL connection..

Also NA players seemed like bots to me and I almost felt like a god taking them out. Sounds crazy but thats how it went, 8 easy kills and didn't feel threatened at all. Made it to top4 :D

EU servers are a joke. I just can't stand that stuttering lagfest. NA all the way baby from now on until they fix it.

just tried US server (from EU) and can't say that i noticed any real difference.
it lagged a bit more actually and the doors / cars taking forever to open was about the same.
...i did find a silencer for my AR though and had a not terrible round because of it.
