Mouse DPI / Polling rate - any advice?

Hey, until recently i have been using a really cheap Poundland mouse and have noticed I'm at quite a disadvantage in games like this and CSGO. So i purchased a low cost "gaming" keyboard and mouse setup, which is a slight improvement.

Since then I have researched quite a bit and as far as I can tell this is whats important (please correct me if im wrong):

1. Set the windows mouse sensitive setting fairly low and not on maximum
2. Set the DPI button on mouse to a high DPI setting

This has improved my accuracy a bit but when i spectate others I can often tell they are using smoother mouse hardware.

I then see an article about polling rate , and so I tested my new mouse. It has a 125Mhz polling rate. -the article is talking about the difference between 500Mhz-1000Mhz and says theres not that much noticible between them.
Is my 125Mhz still not really up to the task? Would I benefit from a 500/1000Mhz mouse?

If so , can anyone recommend (or link) me to one that isnt gonna break the bank but is decent for FPS gaming?

(NOTE: Im using a 1080p display that is about 40in - this may be relevant)

I use 400 dpi, 500 pole rate and 53 in game

You need a lot of space for aiming with low DPI but it helps

OP 40" screen so your using a TV these often are not optimal for competitive FPS gaming due to the input lag compared to monitors.

You are extremely mad that someone on the internet doesn't believe every stupid word you type. Yes, it operates differently, which is why I suggested that the OP use what works for them. I shared my opinion that 1000hz is the best, because through my testing that is the conclusion I, and many others I might add (do some research), came too. Now if you could read, go back and look at my original comment which said use whatever works, meaning take some time to figure out what works best for the OP. You are an arrogant keyboard warrior that doesn't like to read, and insults others, all while very annoyingly necroing threads, which no one likes.

Just seen this guys hope I aint causing too much controversy :D My mouse goes up to 500mhz (i think) but it has 4 settings. the 500mhz is defintely better for 1080p, if I had higher resolution then maybe id think about getting a new mouse to test it out. But thats long time in the future :P have fun!!
