Third Person View Switching
To be clear, I'm not talking about toggling between first and third person, I mean switching which side the camera is on your body. It's always oriented towards the right thus it limits and even makes gunfights predictable.

Say I'm fighting a guy and we are both behind two trees. We both probably know we will peek from our rights because that is where our camera is set. It's very limiting to have the camera locked in one spot for third person.

I would love a function to switch camera sides. Gears of war and other games utilize this well. I bet lefties feel awkward playing with the righthand character all the time too.

Definitely not. We really do need to be able to switch to southpaw for these kinds of situations.

Yes, but is it realistic tho? U cant do that irl, at least most of ppl.

I can, actually. I started learning to shoot left-handed because I always aim with my left eye. I'm still more accurate right-handed, but I can hold my own. If I were in this situation in real life, I'd switch hands rather than risk sticking more of myself into the open.

Anyways, i think it's a load of work for devs. Only proper animation alone would take so much time and effort (leftie-reloading and such). Simple camera placement might be much easier to do but the whole thing with shoting... I dunno if pubg can handle it any time soon. Too much basic stuff to worry about.

You can, simply hold right mouse button and tap Q or E, the camera will switch which shoulder it looks over. Holding Q and E otherwise just lets you lean left or right.

Does it switch your handing or just your view?

The problem is though even when the camera goes to the other side you still shoulder the weapon the same. It needs to swap shoulders to IMO

At least you can take a proper peep. Bad thing that PUBG does not provide this action through settings panel. Does it?

I do this in airsoft all the time. Then again, it's not like third person relates to real life at all in the first place.

Neither, you just lean. That's not what I'm talking about at all.

I might be misunderstanding but if your talking about the camera view switching to the left side when in 3rd person its already a thing.

To use it you hold your right mouse key and press q or e to switch sides it will also lean on that side.

Here's a video of me using it, When i leave the building.

Thank you I've been wondering about this. It's kinda annoying when the game doesn't even allow custom bindings to equip quickly and drop ammo. I wish this was more obvious. Thanks again.

If a mod finds this, please lock it.
