why are the updates so big

why is every update 3-8 gbs thats almost a whloe indie game and with 1mbs wifi it takes and h1 to finisih do the devs not compress there files? like its getting ridiculous the game is already at close to 200gb in size like wtf?

My folder is 7.5GB? It has big updates as it's a EA game some updates will be a new version of the game that could require a full re-download.

My game folder of PUBG takes 7.5 GB. Have to look after update, if the 5 GB is additional or it may overwrite some older files.

Where are you getting 200 GB???

Becouse it doesn't only contain new data, but re-writtes old one aswell. How hard is that to understand.

its not as you dont download each update by its own
you only copy the folder that is 7.5gb
The remainers of the patches are deleted, replaced and documented in a 1kb file

only in theory if you had to download each update manualy and install it one after another it would have sth in its 100gb+.. but thats not the case

Yeeeah sounds like you are retaining each seperate build. No real reason to do that unless your hardrive is feeling unappreciated.
