Black screen problem.
When i play pubg my pc randomly goes into a black screen and my monitor goes into power saving mode. The only way to get out of it is to force restart my pc. I'm tired of restarting my pc and this crash happens usually in-game. Any suggestions to fix this problem.
~Thanks :trolol:

Sounds like a bad graphics card.

This is just my opinion.

Just because you have NOT had any problems with a graphics card doesn't mean it will NEVER go bad or start to go bad.

I had the same black screen issue with one of my desktop pc's about 6months ago(with another game).Screen would go black and enter in power saving mode.I replaced the graphics card and everything was fine. The issue sounds like a graphics card issue.

However, dont take my word for it -this is based off my experience and my opinion.Your issue may be different.

I'm not so sure if this is a Graphics card problem , because I have been playing this game for about a month and this just suddenly started to happen. But thanks for your opinion and help .

im having similar issue, when does it seem to happen? mine seems to happen at complete random times, my graphics card is a radeon rx480. i am able to play game before going to pubg and then right after restarting with no problem, so my bet its not the graphics card

I seem to have this problem not really often , but when it happens it's really annoying. I think it is my Cpu causing this problem , because my cpu is really old.

go to appdata/blablabla/ Windowsnoeditor folder, and change your resolution. i bet its 90% this.

Thanks for your opinion , I'll see if it works.

Hey All,

I dont know if the OP ever found a solution to this but I have the same exact thing occurring with PUBG on my rig. Ive been playing for over a few weeks now and have just about 100 hours in the game.

It started last week with no change taking place in my hardware of software. My monitor will randomly go to sleep but I can still hear everything going on and have function on my pc. I have to hard boot to get it back up and running.

This only occurs with PUBG and I can be on my computer for days playing a multitude of other games. The problem is, I dont want to play other games I want to play PUBG lol

Im running an i5-4670k @ 3.4 GHZ
16 GB of RAM
MSI GTX780OC 3GB VRAM
Corsair AX860 PSU
Windows 10 Professional

ive stress tested my GPU and its been flawless (as mentioned before it works fine with every single other game)

Ive tested my 4 cores in my CPU

ive swapped out my PSU with a EVGA50

Ive changed the RAM

Reloaded windows, reloaded the game, updated all drivers

any ideas...??

I sold my RX 480 and replaced it with a GTX 1060. Even though i like the RX 480 more, the issue stopped for me. I just hope that the developers fix this issue because i know how frustrating it is for you and your teammates.

Yeah , Still don't know what the real problem is but I had a i5 3450 . I upgraded to a i5 4690K and added 4g RAM . The crash hasn't happend since. But who knows...

SOLUTION: This might help.
I've seen this proposed on other forums and such, but if you're using Nvidia GeForce Experience, try uninstalling it and launching your game (You shouldn't need a restart after uninstall but it's a good idea to restart sooner than later). My game was launching, playing the "BlueHole" launch video clip and then sitting at black screen without responding.
After uninstalling Geforce Experience, my game launched perfectly. I'm sure there will be a patch for that soon.

I also have a RX480 and my monitor switches to power saving mode randomly ingame. It happens only in PUBG.
