No you can..
There is still the problem with Rule 14. I don't want to use his account, if it is forbidden, so I would like to get a official response to this matter, because then I know, that I can or can not use his account for playing. I won't do crap with the account, just want to play from time to time, while he is offline.
for an all out battle royale there sure is a whole heck of a lot of rules.
Well, I would feel much safer, if there would be an official response from a mod/admin to this topic. Because it is really confusing with the Rule 14.
I am just saying its NOT blocked on Steam for Family Shareing so as far as Steam is concered it is allowed... I am saying if they install the game and use it since it still is TIED to your account and it uses your profile online, anything they do reflects on you.. So if they get YOU banned, that is ON YOU.
If they are going to try to enforce you can't family share they need to have steam BLOCK it from that feature. TBH half there rules are so retarded im supprised you can do anything in game at all.

PSA Due to evidence of abuse, new family shared accounts will not be able to play the game. Family accounts already created can still play.

We'll bind all family shared accounts to the same in-game character, but this will take us time to implement. Apologies for any frustration!
Just means you can family share but they are bound to YOUR account, if you shared before they implmented that they still retain there own chr progress etc.. What I understand or Anyone that did family share after that date the game cant be shared but before that date it will still be shared and is ok... There wording is flawed.

Breaks it down better.
its not like anyone is going to specify for you. admin or not. they want that leeway to be able to make their own decisions. if they keep you in the dark its easier for them to ban you without questioning it. they can just claim your ignorance.
That is the reason, why I started this discussion topic. I want a official response to this matter, so they can't ban my family member just because I played on his account. Since I am not using any kind of hacks or break any other rules, there shouldn't be a reason for banning, but the 14th rule made me believe, that he could be banned just for sharing the game through family sharing. So I want to see a official response to this matter, just to be sure, that it is okay.
Ofically if you had the account created before they merged the family share and he still has his own stats etc it is working as intended no need to worry.. If he gets banned he gets banned..
Under there new rule
Family share created after the merger , if you share your account and they get banned you get banned because its the same account. << Meaning they do not have there own stats on the leaderboard etc... With the Old family share they did.
And Rule 14 does say this:
Do not share your account: your account is for your use and your use alone. Do not grant access to your account to anyone else, and do not access anyone else's account, even with their permission.
Combined with the possibility of playing this game through Family Sharing this rule gets pretty confusing.
Try Hex ;) (not Hacks!)
