It's strange because in Settings it says 3.9.161 (BETA) and in Drivers it says 385.28.
1. Before I start Pubg I have to go to geforce's desktop app and TURN OFF in game overlay.
2. Open Pubg go to graphics setting and turn on nividia highlights
3. Return to Geforce desktop app and now turn on instant replay.
If i failed to do step three nothing would record but it's worked flawless for 2 rounds now. I do have to redo these steps everytime I reopen pubg. If its working you will see the highlights icon in the bottom right hand side of your screen
Thank you, I didn't know that, sorry if I confused someone.
I tried all the advice and guides people gave but nothing worked. Then I did this:
1) Uninstalled Geforce Experience. Rebooted.
2) Installed it again (from https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/)
3) Opened Geforce Experience, went to: Settings > General. Checked the option for "Enable experimental features". It started downloading something and updating.
Then it worked!
Ofcourse Nvidia Highlights will have to be selected in the PUBG game settings.
Then I just started the game and it worked just as they say it should.
Okay so I installed Geforce Experience Beta (The experimental button) and tried. Nothing seemed to have changed, however, the highlights DO record when Shadowplay privacy settings has been set to record the desktop. So it works for me now, except you can see my other programs if I Alt+Tab..
I get "Kill saved" and "Death saved" and the highlights marker next to my "Playback enabled" marker.. Just a tip if anyone does this. If you want your death recorded, and/or if the last kill you made was JUST before you died, you should wait with entering the lobby again. It will not ask you if you want to keep those recordings. They'll be stored in the temp folder (can be found in Shadowplay's highlights settings)
EDIT: But when it saves a video, it takes around 22 seconds for me, from the kill to the actual save. It's because it stores 22 playback seconds and keeps recording for 22 seconds. kill/Death recordings goes for 44 seconds. Maybe it's my program, not sure.
So do you have the overlay in GFE ON, and you get the option to turn the highlights on in PUBG, or something else? Even with the privacy settings changed I still cannot enable highlights in game all the time the overlay is on.
Driver fully updated = 385.28
GeForce Experience (GFE) = v3.9.6.61 (Tried beta & regular)
In-Game Overlay within GFE Settings = On
Highlights within In-Game Overlay Settings = Yes
Instant Replay in Alt-Z = On
Steam and PUBG = Restarted numerous times
PUBG does have that extra little media icon in the details which allows me to adjust what's recorded (I've tried turning it off and back on)
PUBG did give me the pop when I first opened the game after updating asking if I wanted to allow Highlights to be captured, and I said Yes. The option is also turned on in the in-game settings.
PUBG v2.5.39
I was under the impression recording will now be automatic and seamless, with the options popping up at the end of the game allowing you to choose what's done with the recording. I don't get that. It won't even start recording when I click Alt-Z and Start Recording.
I've tried with Windows Game bar and Game DVR on and off. The damn thing won't record! Please help!
