Be mindful tho, if you are recording to the same drive your pubg is on you're going to have a bad day.
just to make sure: i do not want to use auto highlights. i want the new feature that (should) save knockdowns, kills and chicken dinners automatically.

edit: i found it!
it is actually a new dropdown menu in the graphics setting tab ingame. it did not ask but changing the setting seems to work.

How it should work is that whenever something happens (you get a knockout, death, double kill, win etc) it will show at the top right "x recorded" then at the end of the match, you will get a popup showing the highlights recorded from the game, and you can save them to gallery, or share them to facebook or YouTube. You don't need to do anything for this except enabling it in the options menu for the game.
If this doesn't happen, there's an issue. First thing I would try is to disable it, then close your game. Open it again and re-enable it and restart your game. Iff that doens't work I would tweet @PUBG_Help
