Is 60 fps enough if I want to play the game competitively?
Everyone says that human eye can't see more than 60 frames per second on a 60 hz monitor, but I'm sure most of you have played csgo and know how it feels to play on 60 fps and 150 fps...
My question is simple. Do I need more than 60 fps on 60hz monitor to have advantage over others? I can make it to like 90 fps on competitive graphics settings but somehow I feel that the game is smoother when I lock 60 fps with vsync, but idk if this one works like csgo with the fps so maybe some of you know. Personally I'd probably stay with 60 fps as my pc isn't overheating (I just don't like when it's loud) and I feel like it's smoother but idk if it's better for my aim.

sorry for bad english and overall mess ;P

and I know that I don't even have 1 hour at the game, but I'm enjoying it a lot and willing to put some more time into it.
dont listen to others, test it yourself

Lol you can only see 60 FPS on a 60HZ screen because it can only show 60 frames.

The advantage of more FPS is because mouse latency is directly connected to FPS, example if I have 60 FPS and you have 30 FPS I would have half the latency on my mouse, but we're talking half of a already small number, that said more you play more you will feel it.
The whole human eye thing only matters to non interactive media such as movies and videos. In games however which are interactive media, more frames means more inputs. The more frames you have the more responsive experience you have. It's not about seeing the frames, it's about feeling the frames, to put it in weird way.
the human wye can capture anywhere from 1 to 200fps.... maybe even more, the whole 60fps eyesight is a myth....

secondly, play what feela comfortable for you, i lock my fps to 50.
its stable, when i play without lock it's constantly fluctuating between 50 to 110fps, you notice the drops and it feels laggy, locking it makes it consistent, no drops to put you out of rythm.

I'm pretty sure if you have the computer power to run a game like this at 60 fps, you probably owe it to the rest of us potato players to try and play it competitively. I'm running at 40 fps with frame drops of 5 fps at intervals of 5-10 minutes.

Same. What settings do you play run if I might ask?
There are some great videos showing the differences between 60 and 144hz monitors (which also means you need the same FPS for it to matter) and from what I can tell it will benefit you but it's much more noticeable in a game like CSGO than here with bullet drop/travel.

your eye cant see the difference between 60 to 100 or higher.

true but that fact has nothing to do with fps shown on a monitor, such bullcrap only can come from a kid that never used a 144hz screen and a 60hz for comparison right after or before.
No. you want solid 100+ fps.
yes it is enough as long as your monitor is 60hz no point is having more fps when no one can get past 100fps

the 60 fps myth has been debunked ages ago , the human eye for one does not see in FPS it sees in movement and changes , you can see 0 fps you can see 1000 + fps , So if you say had 240 hz monitor and could get 240 fps sustianed in game you can see the diffrence of 240 fps vs say 60 fps... It's also why you can preceve changes in high frame rate and low frame rate when it dips.

Example would be if you are looking at a static screen say a webpage your fundmental eye frame rate is 0.

a 60 hz monitor will never display more then 60 fps so having 100 fps on a 60 hz monitor is pointless do to you can never tell the diffrence between 60 and 100 fps do to you can only ever see the max refresh rate of the screen. Your eye can preceive movement as much as 1000+ fps if not more do to just how the human eye works...

to keep it short, yes. u want a high refresh rate monitor. just test it for ur self if u can. 60 to 120hz is a huge differance. u may not be able to tell 120 to144 as much but to me i can. it rlly depends on the person. i cant say for 240hz becuase i dont have one nor would i want to lower all the settings to reach 240 fps. i like games to look good not like playdoughe.

Very helpful and also very funny to read.
