ill also add the i7-6850K beats the ryzen 1700x/1700/1800x in gaming and desktop, only thing those amd's win is workstation against the i7-6850K, so makes me glad i bought it :).

all tho i could for the luls buy the i7 6950x and come in here tearin up them amds lol :).
OHH I get it, you're trying to justify spending $1500 for about the same performance and core/threads that you could get at $300. Well that's cool, its your money in the end.

What did I say before? AMD chips belong in budget workstations... Not that a budget workstation will perform bad, just won't be as much as spending a ♥♥♥♥ ton on a high end chip.

Lol, can your RX 480 do 1440p reliably on Ultra? It's just a budget 1080p card, go home...

''AMD currently holds the WORLD RECORD for the highest clock'' And yet Pentiums offer better performance at lower speeds.

AMD fanboys are the worst.
Really? Because I have yet to state Intel sucks, intel is crap, any insults towards Intel, yet every single Intel person in this thread is beratting anyone who uses AMD. And we're the worse? Seriously? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you are dense. FACT: I can play any game out on max or near max setting with my FX/RX480 PC. What does that mean? AMD doesn't suck, as I can play ANY GAME OUT AT MAX OR NEAR MAX SETTINGS. What is not understood about that part? How is Intel so much better no one should ever use AMD when here I am, using it, playing any game I want with zero issues. Oh yeah that's right, because Intel fanboys ARE THE WORSE. Enjoy your PC your mom bought for you.

Highest overclock is actually held by the FX processor at 8.7ghz. Closest Intel processor literally only happened last week at 7.5ghz. Now neither of these records matter because they have to use liquid nitrogen to cool these systems.

Intels line definitely beat the FX processor line but that is last generation. AMD's current line is on par with and in most cases beating Intel's prices, and core/thread count. Still abit behind in single threaded heavy games and the I7 7700k.

Fact is if you go through 20 channelss, or major pc gaming and hardware websites, you will see the same thing. Buy i7700k for best gaming performance, even though its just by 5-15% in some cases. Buy Ryzen for everything else, except buy the G4560 for extreme budget builds. Because there is nothing AMD has to compete in that market until the Ryzen 3 launches then we have to wait for benchmarks.

Ryzen is a good choice over Intel, everyone knows that and you can not deny that FX processors are a failure, bad IPC, hotter and it requires much more voltage. So it does not matter how much speeds you get, IPC is what matters.

Intel has its pros and cons, Ryzen has its pros and cons but no one seems to be able to think in that way, only '' Intel is better '' '' Ryzen is better ''.

false the 6950x beats amd hands down except price, amd has nothing on intel.

For strictly gaming the 7700k is better because of the faster speeds, but if you do multitasking a lot or things like video editing, than the Ryzen is probably the better choice.
Lol this is the complete other way around, For strictly gaming the Ryzen is better because of trhe faster speeds.

Yes, +1

I'd have wished myself a 1700X over 6700k/7700k if the lineup could more reliably perform above 4ghz.

false ryzen isnt for gaming and doesnt singlecore very well.

Correction, they don't single core as well as your typical i7, but are still good.

You have no clue wtf you are talking about...... Highest OC is on a FX 8370 @8.72GHZ, and the highest Intel is on a Celeron D 352 @8.54GHZ..... Comes in swingin for the fences and falls on his face....

If it is not in the Guiness Book of World Records it is not an official world record.
