High end pc and still fps drops ???

I7 8700k rtx 2070 and lag when dropping, fps drops to 57 58 in big towns sometimes, lag and stuttering. Its actually nothing because the game is capped at 60 fps and its rare but i cant get over it . Im playing on max and 120 render scaling but I think my hardware is capable of at least 90 100 fps , i turned on vsync im using a 60 hz monitor because i dont have dvi port on my gpu and i think hdmi cant work with 144 hz monitors . Anyway what the f ... k is this game that badly optimised or my monitor is the problem . I tried without vsync 100 120 fps no problem but it feels much more smooth with vsync on . I dont have a problem with the fps i can play with 40 if i need to but i need to be smooth without drops and it looks like its imposible even with rtx . My question is did someone use a similar pc and experience the same problem ?

Maybe i9 , 2 rtx 2080 ti’s in sli capped with vsync will have the power to run the game without dropping below 60 .Seriously im sure that this setup will run the game af 60 constant you just need to have i9 and 2080 ti in sli 😂

I have GTX 1060, 16gb ram, I7 8700k, and I have no drops with 100+ fps ( almost everything ultra )


You guys should also pay attention to nvidia instant replay that could cause you some trouble if the "temp" folder is not on the same hard drive. Caused me some drops when it was misconfigured. Always have temp folder and final location of your replays on the same drive !


If it's not what's causing you some problem, you should investigate considering it's coming from you ;)

The only thing left to check if it’s causing any fps drops is the temperature. My gpu rarely goes any higher than 68 . And i dont want to even waste my time checking cpu temp because thats not the problem. Maybe i need to clean my pc ? Screw it it performs well enough even above my needs . I don’t want to waste my time anymore, maybe the problem iis on me maybe its just the game who knows . Tomorrow i will try to return to the previous drivers.

8700k 32gb ram 2080tix2 wobei nur eine läuft bei pubg.

Hatte aber auch keine drops mit der 1080ti und 1060 mit 6gb.

Also wenn ich es mit ner 1060 schaffe muss das mit ner 2070 locker gehen.

It only makes the visuals cleaner and you have a better chance at spotting the enemy first . It looks like low graphics settings and 50 % scaling doesn’t improve any performance , and makes the game visuals non existent and that makes you killed in the first 2 minutes.

Cant be stuffed reading through it all, so have you reinstalled the game?

Fixes any problems ive had, and it fixed it for my friend with the same problem. (1800x, 1080ti, 16gb)

Im running a Threadripper cpu Titan X gpu and this game runs like ♥♥♥♥ maybe 100 fps then drops to 80 during ingagments. ALL other games run great but for PUBG you would think Brendan Green would want to fix this game brfore adding new ♥♥♥♥ but I guess lossing players daily is what he wants. Hell none of the top streamers are playing this game in their rotations anymore because ths game sucks to play the game itself is great but the game play with the lag and low fps gets old.

i have a very capable gtx 1080 build and game is installed on a SSD drive. Ive been playing the game for a little over a year now and the FPS drops are getting worse and worse. I never noticed it when i first used to play before (a year ago) but lately its so bad., its like the updates to the game are making it worse. Like on Sanhook, drop into Boot Camp and usually there will be at least 15 or more other people going there. FPS gets so bad im as good as dead cuz the game wont even render any frames at all and i get killed. I honestly think i dropped to probably 5 frames per second and died due to it and thats why im here right now to see if anyone else has the same issues.

When i go to bootcamp or any other hotspot it doesn’t affect my framerate . I have random fps drops that can happen even in the open when no one goes . They happen rarely but they happen its not game changing its for about half a second . The game doesn’t feel stable . I have the same problem with battlefront 2 no matter of the setting i even run it with hybrid frustrum traced shadows ( htfs ) without pushing near my hardware limit , but even on low the game feels unstable . Maybe its because of the drivers . In shadow of the tomb raider in kuwaq qku theres like invisible barrier that lowers my fps , it doesnt happen in lost city , again everything on max and 60 fps and lost city is 10 times larger than kuwaq qku . In the jungle where I expected my fps to drop to 50 because shadow is very demanding game and playing it with taax4 lowers performance by like 50% my fps stayed 60 consistent. The only games where i have zero problems are rainbow six siege , bf 1 , cs go , overwatch , crysis 3 , doom 2016. Try reverting to previous drivers it may help with the performance a lot even eliminate all fps drops and stuff .
