Blacks Ops 4 will be the killing blow to Pubg

After playing just a couple hours of the beta I can tell you definitely, this game is over. Most people went to fortnite just because the overall gameplay was cleaner, now we have a triple A game company that has given us something remarkable. The gameplay is clean, no lag, no mobility issues, fast paced. It's like playing black ops multiplayer in BR and man it's ♥♥♥♥ing good. For the beta to be SO good right out of the gate, I can assure you PUBG is DONEEEEEE. Everything that people wanted pubg to be is in black ops 4. It's not a question as to whether pubg will survive, It won't. The question will be black ops 4 or battlefield 5? Those Koreans sure are going to be sad that they didn't put a little bit more money into getting the game where it needed to be. I knew this was coming, In fact I can't count how many times I remember talking to my duo partner "Can you imagine how insane a br game is going to be when it's made by a triple A developer." Ha... Yeah. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ eh.

This is Steve, Co-CEO for Team Liquid. I've played the ♥♥♥♥ out of Bo4 Blackout over the weekend and I have to say, yes it's a better game. Graphics, gameplay, stability, item, feel, playability - it honestly was one of the best games I've played since I picked up League of Legends and I'm not really a FPS guy. I do think there's some noticable differences tho. First, Blackout is a gamemode of BO4, not just a full game - how much attention is it going to get as a game mode as part of a larger game? Also, what kind of esports component (competitive) is going to be played around that game mode versus the BO4 title itself. IMO based on the article that just got released by ATVI it sounds like BO4 is going full out esports - I just don't know yet if that means the different game modes.

Esports aside, I think this is really region dependant. PubG is huge in China, EU and Fortnite is massive in EU and NA, I think BO4 is going to be big in NA and EU. If Fortnite rolls out in China eventually, I think it will do well and might pull away pubg players to fortnite (which would be I think a bigger hit to PUBG than BO4 possibly rolling out in China). I think most fortnite players are younger and I don't think many will go over to a more 'violent' game like BO4. I think Pubg may suffer a bit in NA (but I think it already has because of Fortnite).

I hardly play PUBG much these days but still pop into the forums to see what's going on. I tried Black Ops 4, it feels cheap. My first two games, I thought I was going to like it but the games after that I started to realise the game isn't really that good at all.

Why am I mentioning this?. Well I played and enjoyed PUBG from the start, it made me want to come back and play more. I also enjoyed it more with my friends than I did Black Ops. It's nothing to do with skill or anything like that, 5 of my friends thought the same and I don't think any of us are going to buy it, I'm certainly not. Each to their own so I don't think you're an idiot for liking the game, I just think it's overhyped for what it is.

BO4 is still in beta so it most likely going to be better once they work out the kinks in the game

the guns in pubg have way more personality than the guns in blackout and thats enough to keep me playing.
the easier things are to pick up, (blackout) the easier to fall off.

Maybe on console it presents some challenge but on pc it feels horrible to play. Maybe high recoil on pc would be a good idea but since I doubt thats happening there is no way blackout will kill pubg.

You must be using logitech no recoil scrip stating such nonsense - the problem of PUBG is the recoil as roughly 25% dont have it and the rest do - so either make it so thatt 100% have recoil (dream) or then be intelligent and reduce recoil so thjat the damm cheaters dont have any advanatge ....

If he was a macro user then he would prefer CoD Blackout, as CoD Blackout features "predictable recoil". Unlike PUBG, which adds randomness to it's recoil patterns, CoD Blackout has fully consistent spray patterns for each gun meaning that no-recoil macros can be perfect.

That's complete nonsense, the thing is just people aren't very good. That's why we get threads stating that Shroud cheats with thousands of posts, simply because people don't know how to play.

The recoil in PUBG is very easy to compensate for (completely by hand) if you know what you're doing, and to someone who doesnt, that will look like cheating.

I'm sure there are people who use scripts... but we're talking such a tiny group of people that it's hardly worth mentioning.
