Why people claim their shots don't register.
Just happened to me but i noticed why because i had a sliver of health when i got knocked, but before hand i shot my m24 into the players face, because his bullet registered first, my headshot (Showed blood splatter) didn't knock him.
They should put that in the games description: If knocked, bullets incapable of registering.

Or server sometimes does not register shots.
Just9 or whatever his name is, was shooting downed enemy straight into head 4 times and only 4th shot registered and killed. Previous shots went through the head model and bounced from the wall behind.

Happened on live stream a while back.

hitreg is garbage in this game. Worst game for this I have ever played in 20+ years of FPS experience.

However, people still see other times where they are both still alive and bllet splashes hitting target but zero damage occurring in replays etc.....

I think you don't reaslise whats actually happening.

player A and player B shoot at each other, the data they send to the server is timestamped with exactly WHEN the shot was fired … the server checks the data it receives, REWINDS its simulation of the game to the point in time when player A shot on his screen, and checks if its a hit/kill.and the time that death occurs.
When it gets to processing Player B's data that they also shot at player A it discovers that the shot player B fired was fired at a point in time when player B was already dead according to the servers simulation and therefore player B could not have possibly fired that shot, so the shot is deleted.

If you both fired at the same timestamp then you couldn't be dead before your shot was fired and then both shots would be airborn at once. You ar never likely to see this unless the guy that fires first was using a VSS at like 200 meters

So what's really happening is that for their bullets they use raycasting. this is an invisible "laser" that checks what the bullet would actually hit, instead of using an actual game obejct that everyone has to load in. When you die all traces of movement and shooting scripts are deleted, only leaving your ragdoll body. Since there is no script to register the raycasting as the raycasting is getting shot, the raycasting is deleted

Technically wasn't dead when i shot it, I shot in the midst of his spray but was knocked before my bullet impacted (Legit like the moment i seen knocked on my screen the bullet hit him).
I get what you mean, but it's both if the player is killed or knocked by a player the bullet they shot won't register.

so if they make this thing a draw when you two both die together for exchanging shots. is it less frustrating?or nah it is better this way?
