Battle-Pass? No thanks!
"Just like the crate and key system, you’ll be able to get rewards in the Event Pass system regardless of whether you made a purchase. If you haven’t paid for the pass, you can temporarily unlock many of the items (and earn one special item permanently). However, you can also permanently unlock a ton of exclusive reward items by paying to unlock the pass and completing certain missions to “level up” your pass. If you’re hesitant about buying the Pass, but want to play the missions, you’re free to do that. And your mission progress is always tracked, so you can buy the Event Pass late in the event and still get all the rewards you’ve earned."

Just gonna leave that with y'all, let you think on it.

Firstly, thanks for the playground insult.

Clearly you didn't think prior to typing this as fast as you can because you never took a minute to remove the tourettes that came in the form of capital letters. I did read it, unlike yourself I also contemplated what it ment.

If there is generally 0 reward unless we pay for it, the game is going to continue to be stail, boring and repetitive unless we pay for the "content" so we can gain the rewards, yes?
No...
You played H1Z1 ? and Blacksquad? plus Dota?
Thats how it would work.. they combined all systems.
For me. i think they made a mistake.. they should have made guns acquired by Pass = Tradable.. and by Grinding = Untradable.. which i think they would eventually.. becoz some people would be willing to pay to get items without grinding..
.
And One More Thing..
You have to understand.. they need money somehow. in order to keep paying for employees plus team for developing new maps and stuff..
Cosmetics are way to go rather than DLCs..
maps are free.. cosmetics are options.. Thats good plan.

They sold 400 milion copies and added nothing to the game. Are you delusional? Money is not a problem for game development at this point, they are just greedy tards

check the def of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nothing.

idiots never heard of running costs.
you could work for free too, you were paid once that should be enought, right?

Blind fangay detected. If you think the costs are as high as a bilion then I don't know what to say to you. Leave the cage and start thinking instead of deffending this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company. They added nothing, optimalization is still ♥♥♥♥, hackers are still in the game and their coding is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Dont tell me they used all their money to pay these "programmers". You are nothing but idiot

Clearly overlooked the post regarding PUBG making over $700 million in profit.

its a company you ♥♥♥♥♥♥, ofc its about money, like everything in the life.
you migh get it at some point, maybe not.

I've played PUBG since day dot one and I'll admit it has improved but nowhere near what it should be.

I'm self-employed and have been for years, so business ethics is kinda my thing... Any business that doesn't put standards first is a bad business, PUBG puts money first.

there is no point to argue with you, you are straight up a liar.

How can you call me a liar when you genuinely have never met me, know nothing of me or had knowledge of my being prior to you're infantile comments upon this thread?

I can tell a lot about you... A teen, probably divorced parents, like to talk trash online because you're less likely to get your head split than if you do it in person.

Ahhh, I was young once, not nearly as much of a tw*t as you are but I was young :steamhappy:
They have no grounds to sue Fortnite now that they've blatantly copied Fortnite's Battle-pass.

Not overly sure about the details, but the short end of it is they're persuing a law suit over engine features being withheld by Epic, it doesn't have anything to do with the genre of game. Epic are ultimately not holding their end of the contact.
So... When CS:GO did it, it was ok. Now that they do it , it's not? I dont get it. CS:GO always had it's servers on 64 ticks and always added skins, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GLOVES, Sprays and you had to buy all of them but no one bats an eye. Now that someone else does the same ♥♥♥♥ evreybody is crying and every one is a "developer" and knows how easy it is to fix a game even tho they never saw code in their lives. Stop whining and support the game you like instead on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on it. I am not gonna buy the pass but i am grateful for the work they do to the game. And if you all can change your attitude you would see how the game improved in everything else, not only in paied things like you say.

Another thing, CS:GO was also the first game to see major success with RNG item crates. Just sayin'.
i dunno, i think tf2 hit that first and they were doing well with it long before csgo came

It's like that the thing that the other game (the one PUBG is suing! IRONY!) is doing, except it's kinda okay in that game because that game is free and well-made. Meanwhile, this game is a mess and costs $30.

And bluehole was saying that they were the ones whose ideas were being stolen.

When people said they wanted a progression system, they didn't mean A PREMIUM SEASONAL ITEM PASS.

You have to take in consideration that PUBG made a game from 0 and the fort thingy had it's base game already made and optimized. That's why they the game it's well made.
It's like epic games had all the ingredients and they only needed to cook them but pubg had to grow them then make a recipe and then cook them.

Unreal Engine is open source and the assets are purchased for as little as $10, I honestly wouldn't be shocked if PUBG's alpha stage had no more than the low end of 5 figures total investment, excluding servers obviously.

Small Mylta Power, Erangel. It cost PUBG Corp £57.31 / $75.41 https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/old-train-factory

Ruins, Miramar. It cost PUBG Corp £28.65 / $37.70 https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/modular-desert-ruins

People gotta stop thinking PUBG is spending millions upon millions in development, that just isn't the case. Next time you're in game and look at an object or pick up a weapon, just think that your very purchase, your very single transaction unique to you... Probably covered the cost of it.

They didn't spend thousands on that piece of map, they did a paypal transaction and gave some 4 eyed nerd $3 an hour to shove it in the game.

Their profit margin is disgusting and this whole battle pass on content is just another cash grab they're doing to make that profit margin even more sickening.

Copy and paste assets, low cost servers, minimal game design, no real PR, they must be spending hundreds of millions designing cosmetic items because the money isnt going anywhere else. They cant even stop the cheaters or invisible wall flipping vehicles.
An Unreal engine noob could do much better.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
